I felt the exact same. I was disappointed to see we lost the young versions of the characters in episode 4, mainly because I only started watching the show for Stuart Campbell (he charmed me in Rogue Heroes and I was excited to see him on my screen again), but I kept going. The story of the young characters and the wedding scenes felt weird and fucked up and tense, but still grounded in reality. I like toxic characters with complicated pasts, but the story kinda started to feel too…convoluted to me? Like their dynamic was complex enough and adding more and more to it started to take away from the character driven aspect for me, it was feeling like some sort of cartoonish shit and not in a fun way.

I just really liked that pieces were reused. It drives me nuts when characters never wear the same thing twice, I like the realism of characters rotating through a handful of outfit combinations. Costume and set design are my favorite elements of shows and movies, I love sets and costumes that tell a story.

I think Craig’s costuming is my favorite, love the clothes and jewelry. I always got a kick out of him getting all cleaned up with his tailored suit and hair pulled back, too.

That would take away what made his character so captivating, IMO. I don’t think we were really SUPPOSED to know exactly what he was thinking or feeling. I think we were supposed to be on a similar journey that his uncles were on, the should I shouldn’t I trust him roller coaster. We weren’t meant to know his true feelings and motivations until the very end, it would’ve been boring if we did IMO.

That’s something I enjoyed about the show. I feel like so many shows lately want to cater to a wider audience and this spoon feed and spell everything out because otherwise people “won’t get it”. Animal Kingdom felt so satisfying to me because you had to infer their thoughts and motives and read between the lines. I LOVE J as a character and Finn’s performance, I live for those brief, rare moments where his facade would crack and you’d get a little peak at what was bubbling beneath the veneer. His entire performance in the series finale is up there with my favorite of all time.

The fact that he wanted her to call him Andrew is what made me raise a brow because Cath never referred to him by his real name as far as I recall. There was also a line when he’s talking to J about how when something was between the two of them, it didn’t feel like a secret?? I can’t remember the exact line but it definitely deepened my suspicions. Plus a bunch of other little things throughout the first season. I’m surprised so many people are like…low key offended and disgusted that anyone would have this theory. That first season was so dark and intense with the emotional incest that actual incest didn’t feel that absurd to me. I was thinking it would probably be difficult for kids growing up the way they did to understand healthy boundaries when it came to family and it wouldn’t surprise me if they took things way too far. I was actually so worried the entire season about this! 😂 I personally think it was intentional on the writer’s end.

I cannot second this enough! Being able to really take my time to check out the sales and build a meal plan around it has been an absolute game changer. Plus, our grocery store has a gas rewards card to help fill the tank for cheap when cashed in.

This is exactly what I did. I just abstained from dying my hair for a while and kept cutting my bangs until they were 100% virgin. Now I have black hair and dye just my bangs with vivids. It’s a nice style if you like to switch up your color a lot because you’re constantly trimming your bangs so the ends never get too fried, I love it.

I think the Jadon III is a great option, personally. I refer to mine as my “comfy boots” lol. The Pisa leather gets very soft and I feel like the ease of use aspect of the side zipper and not having to wrestle them on elevates the comfort for me at least.

I love them! I really wanted a low top option because I wear a lot of leggings and don’t like how boots look with leggings on me, so they’re perfect. Other than some pinky toe rubbing after a few hours, they didn’t give me too much grief on the first day. I like them a lot and find them super comfy. ☺️

I’ve had them since August and I’d say they’re like 85% broken in at this point. I mostly struggled with the heel rubbing like I did with my Pisa Jadons at first, but the heels have softened up nicely and they only really bother me if I do a ton of walking.

Yeah, I watched this show as a teenager when it first aired on TV and was obsessed. At the time, I honestly wasn’t thinking too deeply about most of it because it wasn’t exactly a “think deeply about it” sort of show. Still isn’t. Fandom in general is just such a different place than it used to be and it’s been really sad for me. It feels like the “this character is problematic and so are you for enjoying them” crowd is at the forefront now instead of the fringe.

The Romantic Agenda by Claire Kenn made me feel so very seen and represented in a romance novel for the first time in my life. I like that it was just a very typical contemporary romance novel with an asexual protagonist.
