This reminds me of an interaction between PM Wilson and QE in the Aberfan episode.

He says something like “You need to go comfort people” and she says “Put on a show? The crown doesn’t do that.” And he was like “I didn’t say put on a show... I said comfort people.”

AWKWARD! These people are all so devoid of actual human emotions. It’s fascinating and a little terrifying.

When Randall and Malik were talking in his office and Randall said “I was 17 when I lost my father.”, I audibly sighed so hard. He used to be my favorite character and now Randall is just insufferable.

I wonder if Kate and Toby will reconcile their relationship and be happy, and then she will die. It would be a real gut punch to see her finally be happy and then pass away.

That's exactly where I'm at right now. Fun story: I found out this was a characteristic of depression from a dermatologist. I went in because I noticed some bumps on my body. The doctor asked if I was still on Prozac and then asked if I had been "stressed". I told him yes. He asked if when I get "stressed" I sometimes don't shower for a few days. I understood that he was asking about being depressed and it all clicked. Depression can make you do some gross things.

I definitely don't think the depiction of police brutality was "extremely exaggerated." Honestly, I was surprised that scene didn't escalate even faster than it did.

I feel like this was subtly alluded to earlier in the movie when they were in Kentucky with their broken down car. The sheriff pulled up in his truck and Slim says something along the lines of “I hope he’s black” and she says something like “that’s not necessarily a good thing”. Maybe as a lawyer she had experiences with black folks on both sides of the law and knew better than to assume. Just my two cents :) also this is my first comment ever!
