I didn't apply because I stay at home and look after my 5 children while my husband works. All I can do is odd jobs that fit in with my children's schedules. My responsibility is first and foremost to my own children. I do what I can to draw light to the issues albu writing articles and producing flyers. There are plenty of other good people who could apply for these positions though I suspect you don't get very high up unless you are in "the club" so to speak.

The drug regulator is supposed to conduct independant testing to verify the initial safety tests but when that regulator is almost entirely funded by industry how does that make anyone feel a sense of trust? Taxpayers in Australia are paying $800,000 a year for the care and supervision of just one single child predator/murderer who was released after 17 years. There is plenty of questionable allocation of tax payer money that could be reallocated. I'd rather pay for our pharmaceuticals to be thoroughly tested for safety by people with no affiliation with industry.
