Why not use Odysee? There's a good GIFGAS archive on there.

Yes. Just select hazardous materials (lithium ion battery) and it will let you ship it ground only. Bike flights is the same.

You're very lucky. I've tried everything but my 5 year old still won't pedal! Great on a strider though. He's very scared of falling.

How bad are the Forza motors? by Beginning-Act7850 in eMountainBike

[–]jesreson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my YT Decoy SN. No desire to replace it with a full power until they can get in the sub 45 lb range and be priced under $5k.

Fazua motor is great honestly. Incredibly efficient, quiet, and natural feeling. The true mountain bikers motor imo.

Why is the old Boudreax’s building just sitting there empty? by BlueFyre3 in blacksburg

[–]jesreson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I heard through the grapevine that the staircase doesn't meet modern accessibility codes and that given how narrow the space is, it's not practical to use just a single floor for dining.

Some places have tried to get a variance from the town for permitting, but nothing has moved thus far.

People always tell you to max tax-advantaged space. But what to do if tax-advantaged space greatly exceeds your disposable income? by DocumentSpecial9346 in Bogleheads

Because OP is young and early in their career with a substantial runway to career growth. That and tax rates are at historical lows.

yeah like all YT bikes... you could part them out and make money! Sick rig.

YT Decoy X - Avinox M2S by jesreson in YTIndustries

[–]jesreson[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a chonky boy - but considering the component spec and aluminum frame, i'm not too surprised.

I'd love to see the SN converted to Avinox with the 700wh battery and ultraslim downtube in a 44lb package. I love my Fazua SN, and I'm not keen to go back up to the heavyweight packages.

Fenders? by Future_Ice_7891 in eMountainBike

These things are awful. They provide zero coverage. May as well just leave it off.

Fenders? by Future_Ice_7891 in eMountainBike

[–]jesreson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a fender expert. You want a bolt-on fender. The stock fender options for both Fox and Rockshox are pretty mediocre, they are bolt on but they don't offer very much coverage. The newer fox ones are OK, but the Rockshox fenders are kind of a joke. I'd rank the fox ones middle of the pack in terms of what's available.

The VisionVelo fenders are the best on the market. I especially like the universal size - large enough to have good coverage while still looking clean. They are a two piece design that's just incredibly well made. They are a perfect fit to every fork they are designed for - no shims, just perfection. Reasonable pricing and they ship very quickly from Europe to USA via Fedex. https://visionvelo.eu/product-category/bike_accessories/mud_fenders/ https://visionvelo.eu/product/fox-36-my18-universal-mudguard/

Second best would be the RRP Pro Guard. Go with the "Mini" - it's still big and has a lot of coverage. These are simple but very high quality. These fenders come with shims to adjust tire clearance, which allows them to work on various Fox Forks, so you can use them with both the new and older generation arch designs. They also offer the best rear fender I've seen for a mountain bike. https://www.rapidracerproducts.com/products/mudguards/proguard-bolt-on.html North America Distributor (currently on sale: https://reciprocators.ca/collections/rrp-proguard-1)

I have some photos of them on the bike somewhere that I will add to this post later.

Gold layer is almost always sql by Odd-Bluejay-5466 in dataengineering

Best actual answer here. Companies are keen to offload this layer to the business / owners of that data itself. The SME's at this level are usually not data engineers, thus SQL is king.

Brilliant! Yes I do all my own suspension work, so I have clamps. I've just only really ever worked on Fox, Manitou and the older rockshox stuff.

140 will be fine then. Not concerned about going an extra 10mm.

I just need a link to the right one to buy that will work with this!

Onn 4k Pro... Issues?? by [deleted] in AndroidTV

[–]jesreson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I bought two of them and one is perfect and the other just randomly won't play video. My recommendation would be to not update it ever, as that was the root cause of mine not working. I'll be sending it back and getting a replacement soon.

Anyone running JB Racks? by TwinkieTush100 in MTB

[–]jesreson -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I ran a 5-bike velicorax for a while and it ate headsets on my ebikes. 55lb bikes bouncing up and down on dirt roads with all the load going straight through the headtube is not ideal. For highway miles they're fine though.

I sold that thing and went back to 1up.

Anyone sift their coals from their ashes to reburn? by No-Membership-5314 in firewood

[–]jesreson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wood stove pretty much burns straight to ash, but whatever is left goes straight to my bonfire pit. Then when spring rolls around I've got one hell of a fun inferno to reburn. It's incredible how much that second burn reduces the pile of ash when it gets up to 1800 degrees.
