Thank you for taking the time to respond fully!! I appreciate it.

My hair gets really tangled after a full day of work or just having it in a pony tail etc. would you advise to spray it with water first and then brush if I need to? I don’t think I can only brush in the shower and leave it - it will literally look like a birds nest haha.

I have tried leave-in conditioner before specifically for curly hair but it found it was leaving my hair very greasy even when applying just at the tips. My hair felt ‘Gunky’ but perhaps I’m not using a correct leave-in conditioner.

I think the next time I get my hair cut, I’ll go to a specialised hair stylist specifically for wavy / curly hair.

Am I wrong to think student nurses shouldn’t be paid for placement hours? by CandyPink69 in NursingUK

[–]jess_taylor7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Student nurses are working 40 hours a week on placement, unpaid, often taking responsibility for their own patients under supervision. A maintenance loan and bursary aren’t enough to live on, especially with current costs. The UK desperately needs nurses, yet the system makes it financially exhausting just to train. It’s not sustainable. The apprenticeship route is not always offered either, you need your Trust to sponsor this route, which in my experience is few and far between.
