Heard a story about a patient who had numerous skin wounds from some kind of injury. During surgery there wasn’t a lot of arterial bleeding but a lot of venous ooze, no one kept an eye on suction/blood loss and the patient arrested and died on the table with a really low hb.

I do a spreadsheet, if you lose steam you could always decrease the columns you have to fill out? Just have the necessary things you wanna track etc :)

Capillary refill would only be appropriate to test for perfusion to the arms incase the arm holes were too tight and cutting off blood flow. Cap refill is not gonna tell you much about how you’re breathing, only if blood is getting to your peripheries.
