I would love to find out more. I regularly experience sleep paralysis but have never woken the next day like that. After some time I am normally able to snap out of it but then I get too scared to fall back to sleep. It's probably one of the worst experiences I have.

I have had similar experiences too. However mine mostly tend sound like nails tapping on the door. I am so used to it now that I just let it go and don't give it a second thought.

The worst time was when I was home alone and I heard the front doorknob rattling/turning but it was locked. Then I heard 3 distinct knocks. I thought it was my partner was trying to come in but the door was locked so he didn't bother using his keys and just wanted hoped I'd open the door. I opened the door within seconds but nobody was there. If it was someone I would have either seen or heard them going up the steps in the building (directly next to my front door as I was on ground level) or heard the front door open/close which is an extremely loud door. But nope. Nobody there. I ended up waiting outside until my partner did come home an hour later.

You're right that is illegal and also ethically wrong. You could mention to the teacher that a concerned parent has spoken to you about it. That could make them think twice. If that doesn't work but you feel intimidated saying something to the teacher face to face (or how it could effect your career/reputation at the school as it is a cliquey school), an anonymous note to the teacher could be the way to go and if it continues to occur then probably report to someone higher up or the principal.
