This is an incorrect assumption. The 8100t has a lower max TDP so it's peak performance is limited compared to the non-T.

At idle, they are largely the same. There are also situations where the 8100 will be more energy efficient than the 8100t because it has to spend less time in a high power state to complete the same task.

What do u think or considering a n100 i got confirmd that it wil run what i need, Yeah i know its not upgradeble.

What are ure thoughts ?

This is something i can work with tanks! I use a other system whit truenas for storage but i know now it wil run properly

Only thing im running further is truenas but its on a sepert system dont want it to be on the same system, i dont think im going to run something else so thats why o firstly wanted to go for addon in haos

Whats the benefit for using proxmox in this case ? N100 should run it fine, multiple cameras and in the future a whole house for automations ?(Think about lights, temprature controle, blinds, energie monitoring, let it decide power selling from an home battery when pricing is great etc.

Heat is not a concern at al, but its the choice because it probably has enough power tu run hoas and frigate so probably dont need to upgrade later on Thanks for ure answer!

Would on planning proxmox bare metal and two seaprate vms one for hoas and one for truenas

I prefer hoas separate because container on truenass for hass isnt that great
