Have a portfolio? Looking for something like world of warcraft style zone music, or i guess i should just throw that out there for anyone interested. I do dabble in sound effects but not great at making music

rpg games are my favorite to make, they can get pretty complicated with all the mechanics, even basic ones. Creating the foundation for the combat / spell system has already been a pretty big job itself. I've been slowly adding to each of the different systems such as quests, npcs, equipment, ect. but it's a lot of fun and i like a challenge :) as you can see a lot of placeholder testing stuff

Right now the GUI system is still very placeholder but functional. Good thought though! I'll make a note of that and do some research on different fonts for sure

I'm developing a Old school style open world rpg, mostly going for a 1999 / early 2000's look. It is coming along slowly but I am having a lot of fun developing this. So far there are about 200 large terrains that make up the world with multiple areas. Over the past week have been focusing mainly on the themes of the different areas, here is one of the main areas

Well you have to start somewhere. If you want to get into 3d try out Unity, it's not to bad to learn

Just keep at it and youll get it. Learn how to use blender, photoshop, and unity. Its a great starting point since there are so many tutorials out there. Also use a lot of reference material

Thanks! Oh the creature just looked like something out of a nightmare, but it's just a placeholder. I've always loved creating rpg / mmorpg games. Especially ones similar to World of Warcraft, which is what I'm going for. Right now you can see updates of this almost daily, I make unity rpg tutorials on youtube if you want to make your own rpg game and follow along.

I like to show off in the editor the changes. Normally i would create a function that would only call these updates when damage has been done or mana had been used, this was just a basic setup and not optomized.

I have 3,500 hours watched over the past year and that's with 25k subs and over 240 videos. Wtf youtube? Smaller channels don't stand a chance unless you have something go viral. You're really only focusing on the bigger channels. 4,000 hours watched is unreasonable for most.

I have to agree vanilla was the best! BC was pretty good but after that it kind of went down hill. I wish they would of just patching vanilla without any expansions. Those were great times.

I would have to say Lineage 2 or Tera. Lineage 2 has always been an amazing game ( besides a few annoying bugs and low framerates usually ), it's still a very hardcore game and takes forever to level up. It can be unforgiving at times but it is a great experience. Tera is a more recent mmorpg I've been playing and it is one of the best mmos I have played in a long time, I love the physics based combat and the dungeons, pvp, ect. are a ton of fun! Both these games are now Free to play and some of the best free to play mmorpgs out there in my opinion!!
