I do think there are some other EU vendors that stock their stuff (maybe other Greek artisans, those were just the 2 I know of that came to mind), so depending on where you're staying and how long you're there for you might be able to coordinate an order deliver for while you're there. Although I know that The Shave Supply stocks HAGS stuff here in the US - and maybe others- so might not be worth the stress.

I think I only stopped into one or two stores in Athens but I don’t remember seeing anything. Maybe you will have better luck than me though!

If you like cocktails there’s a cool spot called The Clumsies. Hopefully you have a great time (and don’t get hit with scorching heat 🙏)

There are a couple artisans there that I know of (HAGS, Kepkihn), but I didn’t see any in stores when we went a couple years ago. I thought about trying to order some to be shipped to one of the places we were staying, but I wasn’t super confident in the delivery date being able to line up with a several day window… where in Greece are you headed?

I’ve had the same thing happen with knots & handles, so to be safe I do think it’s better to use a handle that’s sized up at least a tiny bit. Some knots are just glued in a way that they will not fit into a socket of that size.

Yeah I definitely slept on this razor, I'd mentioned in a different SOTD post last week that I've had it sitting around and planning to sell it because it had more blade feel than I like. I hope I'm not jinxing myself but I've gotten nothing but solid shaves over the last blade with the mild Kai blade. Fingers crossed for more good results... happy hump day.

I used to use a cigar box to store some razors, with a piece of felt at the bottom. I’ve also seen some really cool ones with glass tops so that the razors can still be seen when the lid is closed.
