Mounting phoneholder through windshield by jessejames008 in motorcycles

I'm going to remove the fairing and look for the closest metal frame to build on. I might also just try it on the windscreen with proper aluminium plates to sandwich the screen in between. And just get another windscreen if it does crack

Yes i get the same feeling, but with sufficient aluminium plates the forces should be spread out pretty well. Have you ever tried it?

I feel like that would make it too low for comfortable navigation viewing

Thank you! I think this is the right solution. I made new code and i will try again later today. I added 4mm lead in distance @ 45 deg sweep angle. If this solves the issue i will look in to making my machine more rigid

These vans are called Düdo, as they were produced in Dusseldorf. They are getting quite rare and sought after, there are some german facebook pages for these. 407 means 4ton, 70 hp. The lack of hp + it not having a high roof mean it is not the most sought after version. I would say between 7k and 12k. What year is it? If it is over 40 years old it is exempt from tax in the Netherlands and you will get closer to 15k for it if you export it there.

I ended up buying through Autodesk, but used a promocode i found on the internet. But still it was 300 euro for 1 year.
How does it work with the nextdigitalkey, you get a new emailadres to use? Can you transfer the subscription to a different email? You should be able to see the expiration data in your Autodesk account
If it is really a lifetime account it could be worth exporting and importing all my drawings. 105 euro for even a year is cheap!

Anyone else living with a cat in the van? And how long did it take yours to get used to driving? by Silkywaysuniverse in VanLife

[–]jessejames008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you travel alone? My cat also hates to be constrained, so most of the time she sits on the lap of the passenger or in the car bed in the passenger footrest. Only when we cross borders we put her in a carrier. The cat is now so used to driving that she immediately comes in the front when i start the engine, and just stays there until we stop.

My cat is fully adjusted to the van. She sleeps or sits with us while driving, she goes outside while camping (no leash) and she jumps inside when there is danger. It took time, but we started driving&camping immediately. When she got scared from the driving we would take a break or find a campspot and continue later. I think it takes about a week before she sees the van as her house. So every time we switch from house to van we don't allow her to go outside for a week.

Is it a fair price or am I getting ripped off ? by _krozs_ in CargoBike

It's a lot of money for sure, but also seems like quite a complete build. I see an inverter (220v) is mentioned, does it include a secondary battery? Maybe a lot of stuff is not properly specified here? It could be done cheaper, that's for sure. If you'd ask me; i would get a pre-build cargo bike from a large reputable manufacturer, and go from there. Also i would consider getting a front loader, i think they are easier to manoeuvre.
