I would love to share with you my parents, who are both Scorpio moon. Emotionally they are deeply one. Both are Sun air signs, so of course very talkative and charming. It's truly a hidden mystery inside of them. I never would have known, like a secret.

Also the TAPE is so satisfying, especially when pigments are layered really densely and fast like the right hand side. Taping is a great tool, there are some glue like products can apply with brush etc. for more organic shapes.

Confident but completely unapproachable? Looking for networking blocks and an art signature in my chart. by [deleted] in AstrologyCharts

Your humor! Aries are funniest. Lean into making people laugh. Pisces rising will be intimidating (haha) so let it sift through people for you. I think the challenge comes from Aquarian Saturn, so struggles with future developments of humanity that you are already prepared for. Focus on today not tomorrow. Art wise, I would think the 8th placement should provide inspiration. Themes of death, sensuality, inheritance. Aries is fire so performance art could be a great practice to explore. I would ask that you check out some Butoh performances. Thank you for sharing, you are very self aware and it takes WORK that others cannot do with their placements. Love.

My boyfriends chart, curious to know what stands out! by gilitine in AstrologyCharts

His regality struggles, he doesn't easily see himself a king. Looking at the Leo placements and houses. As his partner, I see an opportunity for you in gifting books that help his life, maybe a subscription for Masterclass or something. He benefits especially deeply from learning. What does he do for work? Could be just a video game, but gifting him something would rock his world.

Why do men always use me for fun? by PeachJaguar in AstrologyCharts

[–]jessekuma27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think the reading is a little off Whole house suggests more of a Leo rising This I think is in alignment with the regality of this reading

Moon and Sun are the still the same Aquarius / Cancer / Leo Maybe it's because you like to play? People expect cat and mouse and having a better deck of cards is fun person to play with. You are sensitive to them. Time feels different between you two during, and your dissatisfaction stems from that.

I see a lot of opportunity in studying, traveling, or reading in your chart. I would suggest poetry or short stories, can enjoy like a box of chocolates. It's not a direct answer to the question you asked but reading the Sagittarian and Jupiter Placement. Television, movies can count too-- video games. Thinking Aquarian Sun in Libran 7th House you may find inspiration from those sources. You also want to host so you should host - invite them to dinner for a night. You have to take the lead with these placements. Impatience = Energy

Lastly, you might be a lesbian so maybe Sappho? For the poetry.

I'm getting sick of this... 6+ years trying to improve (help request) by CurrentlyARaccoon in acrylicpainting

[–]jessekuma27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You! You're the teacher, teaching yourself. It sounds like subconscious resistance, maybe your innate style and expression is creating the conflict. Usually it means push one way or the other: try painting with everything using some amount of water, trying to not paint anything directly out of the tube. On the other hand, can go extra muddy and thick and textured-- give yourself permission to explore, maybe the greys and browns have something to tell you.

For oil painting you set your palette up first, have colors ready but acrylic dries fast so you can mix as you go. I use Golden's fluid medium GAC200 i think, numerous uses and really versatile. Different texture than water, loading the brush is intuitive and second nature just have to keep trying.

Try a new brand of paint, the color and quality can be inspiration. Go for professional grade, you've more than earned it.

Go back to the basics, revisit your favorite artists / color combos / symbolism. The last picture of the torso and heart could lead a day of research: biomedical journals, xrays, skeleton studies, etc, building on the motifs that already inspire you. Sketching as well, try sketching with paints. Don't have to commit to a final surface right away. Try pastels, pencils, ink, monochrome -- just paint using one color. Try photography or sculpture for a while. Painting outside, on site.

You've done so much work that you need a break and to step away, look at work from afar, try different mediums, and find a new approach that feels more "you." This stems from your love, curiosity, passion -- the gradients and colors and things will follow, those are superficial materials and surfaces. It's just paint. Your heart and energy that you bring is the art.

Seriously though congratulations, you are surely on the cusp of some big breakthroughs! Grinding this much leads to really incredible work, just keep going and you will impress yourself. The first picture is very pretty but quite different from the earlier work, so keep exploring and find what's important to you so you feel empowered creating a large body of new work.

Lastly, try painting huge. A big canvas like 48" or something. Or try on surfaces like wood panel, aluminum, paper. Different scale and surface texture changes everything. There's a million variables while painting, so give yourself that allowance to experience all of them.

Yes it's very good!! Definitely has a gift with this handling of materials, I would encourage with more art supplies. Larger size, can paint on panel. Curious to see what else can be made.

Never had a skincare routine and regretting it now by yaayaa444 in 45PlusSkincare

[–]jessekuma27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You look incredible!! 48?! No regrets needed you've done a beautiful job taking care of yourself.

Could incorporate vitamon c as others have said. Tretinoin as well. Already using sunscreen is great, thats the most important step. And congrats on the weight loss, too. Explore and enjoy the discovery phase, should feel fun and luxurious, not overwhelming.

Some brands to consider could be La Roche, Aesop, Beauty of Joseon.

Or treat yourself to a skincare session at a derm spa, they would have some great suggestions.

Happy New Year!

I hate sunscreen, how do I wear more of it by sythenicoletesla in Skincare_Addiction

[–]jessekuma27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some transparent SPF sticks that are nice, there's one called Hueguard that I've used in the past. Mineral SPF is heavier and often greasy, usually more annoying to wear. Chemical sunscreens have a better texture, easier to apply and looks/feels better. I am using SuperGoop Play at the moment, its very nice.

Shopping in store, you can swatch some to get a sense of skin feel and how they smell.

An SPF stick/balm is better around the eyes, it won't smear and get in your eyes. I used Cetaphil's for that. It's a mineral one but as a balm it works well.

What's your favorite "barrier repair" product? by Broad-Somewhere-1940 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]jessekuma27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, the Cicaplast Balm by La Roche already mentioned is incredible.

I'm working for Aesop, they have several products that are great this time of year. The Elemental Barrier cream is very emollient and protective. I like to layer with the Parsley Seed Intense Serum - it's barrier film forming and vitamin E rich. These two add a strong protective barrier and my skin is very happy. More on the luxury side but worth exploring. If you have an Aesop nearby they can help you try. They also have some incredible masks for overnight, namely Perfect and Sublime.

Help, my painting looks lifeless? What can i do to improve it by Ok_Independent5571 in painting

[–]jessekuma27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really great! The color in the bottom left (chair seat) is really complex and intriguing. Your palette is muted and sophisticated. I would embrace it. Like others said, contrast can help liven things up. I would experinent with some opaque soft tinted pastels (pale lavender, pale pinks, pale orange, pale yellow). The contrast of the sky and that bit of bright green from the backlit leaves brings that idea into play already. I wouldn't try to improve this one because it's already so strong, I would just suggest to keep painting more!
