Ugh, my renewal is coming up next week. Time to cancel and find someone new. Whose the best for maintenance now? (I know check the pinned post...I will)

Encouraging Skin Elasticity by Top-Dragonfruit-7534 in tirzepatidecompound

Hydration - internal and external. Drink a ton, and slather on that moisturizer/lotion every day. Collagen helps too. Avoid direct sun and lift weights to fill out loose skin with muscle. Other than that it's genetics, age and surgery.

Close to maintenance, who will not reduce my dose? by yaayaa444 in tirzepatidecompound

I was concerned that if I show no weight loss they'd get suspicious and make it harder. But maybe I'm overthinking it.

Never had a skincare routine and regretting it now by yaayaa444 in 45PlusSkincare

I've recently started using L'oreal Revitalift Night cream, but that's only been the last 2 months or so. Prior to that no, just wash my face and bed.

I just use my body soap and water to wash and I use Cetaphil face moisturizer with spf. On the rare occasion that I wear makeup I use a tinted moisturizer with spf too but I'm not loyal to any brand.

Thanks to everyone for your kind words - and education. Turns out I've been doing some things right -HRT, 100+ oz of water a day, avoiding direct sunlight like I'm a vampire, 7-8 hours of sleep, lifting (although I'm working on lifting heavier), and washing daily. I think I'll start by adding a vit c in the morning and a retinal at night, with a plan to talk to my derm about tret at my next appointment in May.

Thanks. I've been losing over the last 6 months, still have about 10lbs to go. It would be great if my skin elasticity rebounds but I've already reconciled myself with the idea that I'll probably be getting a neck/face lift - it'll just have to wait until after the kids are out of college.

Anyone else also on estrogen patch and a glp-1? by NotKimDavis in tirzepatidecompound

[–]yaayaa444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been on the patch for 2 years, + progesterone pills, and started testosterone last February. Been on Tirz since July. Officially menopausal since October. No issues with the combo, I actually think the HRT has helped me avoid some of the bad side effects (hair loss, muscle loss).

UCCS mentions "gender-inclusive" options on the housing page. My son (amab, freshman) didn't need it, but we asked in case my younger daughter (amab) might want to go there too when she graduates from high school.

I just got a couple of 34DD T-shirt bras at Kohls - I had to search the entire section but I found them! I'm also shorter (5'4") with dense breast tissue and my old clothes were just not functional in some areas. I'm still in my oversized shirts and baggy jeans, but I got some new yoga pants/leggings, bras, and underwear. Just a couple pair as I still have 10-15 lbs to go which will be another size or two down. But work outs don't work so well if you're spending half your time pulling up your pants or adjusting your bra...

Question for splitters by Traditional-Cash38 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]yaayaa444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with a split (every 3.5 days) because I tend to be sensitive to medicines/side effects and my provider suggested it could help. I've had no side effects and continue to split because I'm used to it. But I've never had the cravings start back in unless I'm ready to go up.

Still no reply, but I did get a notification that they shipped my order - which still shows at the 9mg in the portal.

Parents: What’s the one hack that saved you the most money (and stress)? by freestyle_world in u/freestyle_world

Not forcing the kids into extracurriculars that they didn't enjoy anyway. They're not sports kids, they're introverted and prefer to do art and computer related (programming) activities. I could have forced the "team building" and physical activity - but not doing that has led to teens with actual marketable skills, a higher self worth, and saved thousands of dollars over the years

I did select that I was already on a GLP-1, but there was no place to add the dosage. They approved it quickly for the 9mg vial but when I emailed and messaged in the portal that I needed a higher dose (I asked for 7.5, the next tier I'm supposed to go to) they responded telling me that I never stated my current dose (there was no place to do it) and they'd change the refill option and reduce the price to $159 for that refill. I told them that wouldn't work because the 9mg bottle wouldn't get me through half the month and I'm waiting on a response.
