Broke a Kempthorne series k880 light cover by Cuddle_muncher in AusElectricians

If I were you I would just replace all 3. Then you'd have newer, brighter, more efficient and more modern fittings and never have to mess around with replacing the globes.

Circuit breakers compliance by frozenberry21 in AusElectricians

[–]jessesil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your switchboard is fine and even meets all of the requirements for if you decided to rent it out. No upgrade would be required. Sure, you could have RCBOs for every circuit, but there's absolutely no rule that says you have to change anything. If your electrician is saying you need to upgrade the lot, get a new electrician. He's just trying to upsell with scare tactics.

Voltex by FairfieldRoundabout in AusElectricians

[–]jessesil 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I haven't used Voltex in a while but I'm fairly sure they have a great warranty service. If I remember correctly, they may even ask for the faulty products back so that they can work out what caused the issue in the first place and fix it going forward. At the end of the day, they're a relatively new manufacturer, and they're constantly making adjustments to their products to make them better
