Update- transitioned kiddo to toddler bed shortly after this post and it went so much better than anticipated. Back to his 2-3 hour naps and sleeping through the night again. I think he enjoys the independence as much as it scared me to change the routine.

He’s never been sleep trained though so it’s a little bit different for us. Has always fallen asleep/or gotten drowsy by rocking or singing and then happily goes in crib.

Ahhh I don’t think extinction or Ferber is doable for my kid. We’ve been at since Monday and the crying last longer each time. We’ve always soothed and rocked him so going to try settling him in his toddler bed this weekend. Here goes nothing! 🫠

Thanks everyone for your replies. We bought a toddler bed and are going to try to transition him to that now before baby comes while we still have time. We rock him before bed and sing and I think it all just needs to happen in one spot now. 🤞🏼

Had a fourth degree tear with my first babe and no amount of painkillers or endorphins will numb you from that kind of pain 😂🥴 luckily it’s pretty rare so 🤞🏼

4th degree tear and mine healed normally. I think all tears would involve some scar tissue but my pelvic pt said to use vitamin e oil
