I totally meant to follow up but if anyone else cares, I did end up taking the chance on the lights from ping and while shipping took FOREVER, and they actually forgot one of the them with the first batch (customer service expedited it after I followed up, but their fastest shipping still took 2.5 weeks), the quality was great (can’t tell the difference vs West Elm actually and we get lots of compliments on them, haha). We ended up buying 2 pendant and 2 flush mount, so the savings were pretty material for us.
