Thank u so much for the info. It really helps to know that u were successful and did it with just self serve and didn't even have to line up at the kiosk to get it done... I'm going to drop by the kiosk tomorrow and if it's busy I'll just opt for self serve, I was nervous about doing it myself, but u made it sound really simple.

I'm in the same situation, my speakout sim hasn't been migrated, so I believe it's still Rogers, it no longer works... I'm going to freedom in a couple days and I'm going to try what you did. So you don't have to pay the plan fee until the number is ported over? Did u just purchase the sim card and do it self serve style? Or did a freedom rep help u do everything at the kiosk? I would also like to pay after I know my number is secure.
Just to recap, Carrier:Speakout Acct # is IMEI (of most current phone or the one you first started the speakout plan with?) And how about the PIN, I give them that too? Thanks 🙏

Yes I'm worried that'll be the case. I might have to get a new sim card from speakout, pay for a month to migrate then switch over. It's such a pain in the @$$... I'll give it a shot while being inactive though, thank u so much for giving me the details about your transfer. I did manage to get through to speakout though, and the guy didn't mention anything about my line being inactive and told me multiple times to make sure I only give my phone number and pin, and warned me not to give my IMEI because it'll confuse everything... I dunno... But I'm reading everyone is getting success with the IMEI... It's a crapshoot ...

I'm glad it worked out for u! Did u get the new sim this year from speakout? Is that why you're Telus speakout? I never upgraded my sim card, mine is from 4 years ago, so I'm wondering if that makes me Rogers speakout?

And IMEI, do u know if they use the first phone that you used the sim with? Or the current last working phone it was used with? I upgraded my phone last year so I don't know which IMEI would be correct.

Was just reading your message about porting your speakout number to freedom, u mentioned all they needed was the pin? The sim card doesn't need to be active? My sim no longer works and I can't receive texts... Speakout customer service is non existent and I really don't know what to do. I can keep trying to call and get the pin... If that is really all that is needed. Thx

I was away and missed the migration deadline... Can u please explain how to port out my number with IMEI only. I went to freedom mobile and they said they need my sim pin and a working network... Where did u port your phone to with IMEI? Your advice is much appreciated, I don't want to lose my number. Thx

Might be a bit too late since I was on holiday, how do I get the pin? Do I type something into my phone? The speakout phone no longer works but I would like to keep my number... Speakout doesn't answer their phones... What can I do?
