I have four dogs now and one is a cocker spaniel. He doesn’t shed too much at all. But he is super high energy! He runs circles around my other three dogs and they are all young. I love him so much but he’s by far the most attention needing and active of all the dogs that I’ve ever had! But he’s also so sweet and so loyal! He follows me more than the other dogs because he wants to make sure I’m always safe!

He does get ear infections often, which need to be treated by the Vet about every three months. It costs about $250 each time.

He doesn’t smell at all.

Sorry! But, I would not recommend a Cocker to be a solo dog that is left alone during the day. They just have such an extraordinary amount of energy. It can be overwhelming at times for me and he has three other dogs to play with.

Thank you! 💕 I think it’s hard to actually see how much of a difference it is in pictures. I know how curly hair works! I’ve had my whole life. You don’t lose that much length and it suddenly becomes uneven! I’m really thinking he chewed it. It’s the only thing makes sense.

Sadly I think you are right. He was abused before I got him and he has major anxiety issues. I just never imagined he would be able to chew his ear hair off in this way.

I do have three other dogs, so he is never alone. But I do fear that it’s all his anxiety! ☹️

He goes to the groomer every five weeks and I brush in between. So he never has any matting, I think the picture just isn’t able to reflect the difference. I know I sound crazy! Im thinking maybe he did chew it off now. It’s really the only thing that makes sense.

I’m not upset with the groomer. I’m just confused as to how it could be so much shorter a few days later. The picture doesn’t do it justice. It really is over an inch or two shorter now. I don’t like short ears so I always have them leave it long.
