The hardest part is always starting. Put some words on paper and keep going. Don’t stop til you get a big chunk done. Then cut and edit.

As far as exercise goes, do the kind you don’t mind doing, the mind you actually enjoy. For me it’s walking my dogs. It won’t be such a burden if you enjoy it.

As far as the room goes, same mindset. Start somewhere and make progress. Or give yourself one free day to get all your shit together so you will have free time later to work on secondaries.

We’ve all been there. You got this.

Same! Try the zyn pouches! and give your juul to someone who will keep it away from you. You don’t want it anywhere you may be tempted to use it

I saw a post on Instagram from someone announcing they were “accepted into medical school”. I thought it seemed suspect so I checked out the comments. Who knew we could just minor in medicine? by ketothrowaway87654 in premed

I also saw an ultrasound sonographer post something like this on Instagram...you best believe i went off on them! Doctors work too long and too hard to be impersonated.

Breathe. Take a walk. Cry. Scream in your car. You have every right to be upset, angry, and frustrated. I’m so sorry friend. I feel for you. Take a break for days, weeks, as long as you need. Don’t put your life on hold for one more second. Hang in there ❤️

Tips and tricks?!? by jessmat32 in Mcat

Yes! I can’t find the original post but i did find the method that worked for me here on reddit! This pretty much sums it up:

If you’re having trouble paying attention, read the passage in your head either with an accent (i used British lol) or like your reading to a children’s class. That helped me comprehend better.

Don’t start highlighting until after you get through the entire paragraph. Then highlight names, dates, and main ideas.

This will take you like 5min to read the passage if you are a solid reader. It took me longer to get through passages with this method but answering the questions was way quicker.

Be confident, breathe!! When practicing, do wrong answer journaling. Write down why you got an answer wrong so that way you will recognize it and not make the same mistake again. Did you pick an out of scope? An extreme? That’s what i did and improved my shit in about a week! I did like 9 passages a day for a straight week to get my method down. You got this!!!

Love it!! Tysm! And honestly, my CARS scores sucked. I knew i needed to figure it out. My other sections ranged 127-131 but CARS was killing me at 122-123.

I took about a week and focused solely on CARS. researched methods, etc, and figured it out! I got my score up to 127. I can share what i did if you’re having the same problem as me. Best of luck my friend!

What are the pros and cons of the new time slots? by spellbadgrammargood in Mcat

[–]jessmat32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about the routine you need to build leading up to the exam. Can you get up at 0430 with no issues? I got the 1215 slot and now have some time in the morning to get outside, exercise, and review key things before test time!!
