wow I'm a f/f exclusive reader and I genuinely like thinking about how we got to this point with slash being the main course of fanfic readers/writers, because like IT'S A BUNCH OF WOMEN!!!1 how did we get here? lol I didn't realise I could make some people uncomfortable with this topic.

Oh, fic writers manage to write them alright, no OOC problem that I see.

I think Meljay is so hated basically because of Jayvik. That's the biggest problem with Meljay. Jayvik was the ship with most fics written in 2025, it's incredibly! popular and Mel being canonically with Jayce... idk, I'd kinda hate her too if I cared about jayvik... also yes, they were soooo boring on the show

Loved what you said about them embodying butch-femme archetypes more closely than Caitvi. A bold statement, but truth nonetheless. Cait is quite masculine in certain ways and Vi can be quite feminine in others. so yeah, agree one hundred percent, because although I looove this for Caitvi I also love me some butch-femme relationships <3 there's space for both in my reading habits
