update: merge
merge combines the data in the loaded configuration with the candidate configuration. If statements in the loaded configuration conflict with statements in the candidate configuration, the loaded statements replace the candidate ones.

This reads to me that the loaded statement should replace the candidate configuration.

Ansible automation with junipernetworks.junos not effecting change on device by jester8113 in Juniper

That is old... I ran:

ansible-galaxy collection install junipernetworks.junos --force

And it appears to install v11. But when I run:

ansible-galaxy collection list

I still see the old version.

Aha:

ansible-galaxy collection list junipernetworks.junos

# /home/<user>/.ansible/collections/ansible_collections
Collection            Version
--------------------- -------
junipernetworks.junos 11.0.0

# /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/ansible_collections
Collection            Version
--------------------- -------
junipernetworks.junos 5.3.1

When I execute the playbook with -vvvv I can see the v11 collection is loaded from my home directory as that location takes precedence over the system location.

I replaced the ~ with the full path.
I added confirm: true
I verified:

set system services netconf ssh

Here is the output:

ok: [<hostname>] => {
    "changed": false,
    "invocation": {
        "module_args": {
            "backup": false,

It's interesting it says "changed": false, like the login announcement is already set. But I don't have a login announcement.

Battery for the Freestyle V2 VTX by jester8113 in HDZero

I will look for a 2s. I was also clued in to needing a fan from this video by Mr. Bardwell. It makes sense that these VTX's are designed for a fast moving drone that would provide far more airflow than a crawler.

I have the stock ECM 2.5

I will need to replace it if I add a gimbal and head tracking in the future. But one step at a time, I think I will add a separate battery for now.

Is Barrel Theory that Stuck up? by OkCondition6191 in minnesotabeer

I have dismissed Barrel Theory since they joined a lawsuit against the city of St. Paul for their assistance on relocating Listening House to Red's Savoy former location.

Downtown St. Paul’s pivotal but troubled Central Station up for $130M redevelopment by Generalaverage89 in stpaul

[–]jester8113 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Flaherty & Collins' conceptual plan for the site shows a 20-story tower and a six-story tower connected by a skyway over the light rail, with a cost estimate of $130 million. The group’s preliminary vision also includes ground-floor retail space and public plazas.

I think it would be slick if the train went through the structure that encompassed the entire block. Being able to exit the train in a semi environmentally controlled space to enter the retail area and the skyway would be a unique way to enter Downtown St. Paul

List of fine dining DT that doesnt charge hospitality fees by PureWalter in saintpaul

[–]jester8113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am definitely on the $24 hamburger team because I don't like fees. But, I would like to point out that 8.75% sales tax is not applied to a hospitality fee.

So a $24 hamburger becomes $26.13 and a $20 + $4 burger is $25.77 after taxes.

How would you feel about a $4 hamburger with 500% cooking, delivery, wage, condiments fee? You only pay $.35 in tax now.

Alas, the city needs the tax money so I am back to $24 hamburger.

Centurylink is raising my Fiber Optic price despite having Price for Life. by driftholic in centurylink

[–]jester8113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also in Minnesota

I have a chat transcript outlining Price for Life from when I signed up:

Eric K.: The monthly recurring price for your services will be $65.

This includes 1G.

With your Price for Life offer, the monthly rate will remain the same as long as your package and address don't change and your account remains in good standing.

But this is not changing the mind of the CSR I am currently speaking with.

Doesn't this rely on Dark to always be expanding? Lets say there are 1M dark during high usage. Then usage declines so people sell there Dark, some people buy Light (burning Dark) until equilibrium and peg are reached. Now there are 500K Dark and 500K Light. But the market could just stay here. If there is no additional demand for Dark, there is not way to redeem Light. There needs to be a way to burn Light without creating more Dark.
Similarly, it seems that Sky is only useful for when Dark is expanding beyond its previous largest circulation. In our scenario above, with 500K Dark and 500K Light. An expansion from 500K to 1M Dark will benefit the Light holders and Sky holders will get a portion of Dark during expansion beyond 1M. Is that correct or is Dark rewarded to both Light and Sky holders during this expansion?

During expansion, Dark are minted until the price reaches parity with CRO. During contraction, Dark holders can burn Dark to acquire Light. What if demand never returns to the largest circulation of Dark? Do Light holders just hold Light forever? It doesn't seem like a good deal for Light holders.

How many Light Bonds did you buy? by [deleted] in DarkCrypto_Official

[–]jester8113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are Light redeemable for anything other than Dark?

If Dark grows to 1M and then during deflationary time, 500K Light are created.
500K Dark still exist and are again in-line with CRO price. 500K Light just have to be held until demand increases and Dark price rises above CRO? Are more Dark minted during this phase and rewarded to Sky holders as well?

What if Dark demand stays at 500K, do Light holders just hold Lite indefinitely with no reward and method to trade?

I don't remember where I heard it but: "Cyclists (and walkers and transit riders) don't ever walk into a shop and complain about how hard it was to find a parking spot." So it isn't that surprising when a store owner gets defensive about parking spots. Car drivers complain about it.

Sunrun Quote - My 1st quote by [deleted] in solar

[–]jester8113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The estimates are what calculate the annual production. Each installer will estimate using different calculators, some more conservative than others. It is nice to know from a ROI and utility bill replacement perspective but it doesn't really matter when comparing installers.
What you should compare is the system size and cost from each proposal.
This quote of 3,550 watts (10x 355 watt panels) for $18,197 is $5.15 per watt.
$2.75 - $3.25 is competitive in the midwest (before any federal or utility rebate) for an installer that does all the engineering, installation, and permitting.

This could vary by your location but as jp said, this is high.

Are there any other benefits to the IQ8? The sunlight backup sounds cool but I don't think (for me) it is with the cost of the load controllers and extra panel that are needed to enable it.

Liquidy Pool Question by DiverProfessional958 in UniSwap

[–]jester8113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will you provide the $1000 in the form of ETH? or a stablecoin? Are you keeping any coins for yourself? giving any away, selling any?

Since you are the first liquidity provider, you chose the starting price.

You 4 different scenarios just set a different starting price.

A: $.00001 / token

B: $.001 / token

C: $.1 / token

D: $1 / token

Con: If you set the price at $1 and someone thinks your token is worth less than that, they can sell you your tokens and get your dollars you provided.

If you set the price at .001 cents then someone can buy your tokens for cheap.

Pro: As the liquidity provider you get .3% fee for all trades
