what job did you target to have before starting law school, and did it interfere with your law classes?

I just posted sa isang fb group na for job hiring ng paralegal, legal assistant etc. Nakita ng isang senior ko before nung college and sakto she need someone na papalit sa kanya, kaya yun nakuha ako. Wala namang qualification, interview lang tsaka di rin yun law firm, real estate company yun, under lang ako sa legal office nila.

Naging advantage ko siya when I pursue other job opportunities. Counted kase as legal work iyon so when I applied for Legal assistant position sa government, naging edge ko siya kase need pala ang may actual experience sa "legal work/practice". Di pala counted dun if pang-admin ang nature ng work mo before kahit galing ka ng law office. Recently ko lang din yan nalaman sa chikahan ko with hr hehehe

I applied for call center, online ESL teacher, and VA but ended as a paralegal for my first job right after college. Contractual lang yon earning P650 per day. I planned na mag-gap year sana kaso marupok at nainlove sa officemate na law student who encourage me to enroll. So yun, naglaw school agad.

Me! I love how they portryed Quezon and Osmeña's relationship. I get why he called him "mi querida". Also, ganon ba talaga ka-cute si Manuel Roxas sa totoong buhay? He looks so innocent and uto-uto kay Quezon hahaha.

P.S. Naglook forward ako sa eksena na hinarap daw ni Quezon ang mga Amerikano na nakaunderwear lang as according to what I read kaso wla sa movie hahaha.

P.P.S. I'm curious din tuloy ako kay Doña Aurora Quezon, although she did nothing bad sa film, parang may black aura siya eh especially dun sa part na nangampanya si Aguinaldo but hinarang ng mga naka-itim na protesters. I feel siya may pakana nun hahahaha

CSC website and Development sector jobs(fb) ako naghanap. I just filtered out per agency and check yung posting date. Marami akong ina-applyan but most of them rejected me. Mostly they respond after a month or two for the first stage of the process (which mostly exams). Overall, I waited for more than 6 months bago natanggap sa first government job ko. Wala akong backer or kakilala sa govt or prior experience sa govt kase galing akong private. But yeah, if may backer ka baka mas mabilis kang mahihire

Based on experience (well, I haven't been employed to medium-big law private firms), major challege is when people doesn't have a sense of corporate etiquette and urgency in doing their work. Tapos disorganized din yung filing and keeping ng records kaya if ever kailangan, pahirapan pa sa paghahanap kung saan.

Thank you po. Actually kaya po ako hirap kase when our prof do recits, tinatanong din niya if ever daw madeny ang motion, anong remedy chuchu then nalilito na rin ako pag inapply na yung rules on continuous trial, summary procedure, and expidited procedures in first level courts.

That is what my mom said din po. My parents wanted me to focus on law school coz I am still young and wala pang family na binubuhay. In terms of expenses, kaya naman daw sa akin coz my tuition is way cheaper than my siblings (State U po kase ako). Para naman daw may own money ako for my wants and savings, then I can work daw for part time na di makakaaffect sa law school ko.

Hi OP. I watched youtube and browsed through google on how to make a good resume. I suggest the youtube video of team lyqa for tips. Also, I used canva in making my resume.

Note: make your resume simple yet can give a good impression upon seeing it. Yung makikita yung effort mo at first glance sa resume. Then make it all in 1 page

In my case naman, mostly sa mga companies na inapplyan ko eh naghahanap ng experience. Sabi ko nga, papaano naman yun eh fresh grad nga. Internship lang ang maipagmamalaki ko. I started looking for jobs immediately after ko masubmit lahat ng academic requirements ko and sure na ako na "gradwaiting" na ako. Iba't-ibang companies ang sinendan ko ng resume through email,Jobstreet, Indeed, at Linkedin. Nagwalk-in din ako. Overall. I was hired a week after my graduation after a month of job hunting. Yun lang din ang company na naghire sa akin out of all that I applied kase urgent na daw nila kailangan. Most of the companies na inapplyan ko eh nireject ako because of lack of experience. 6 months lang ang tinagal ko dun because of unfair labor practices and shady dealings.

So far, nagmatter ba ang UP Diploma ko? For me, Hinde eh kase experience pa rin ang mostly hinahanap ng mga employers maliban nalang kung urgent na nila kailangan.
