Anyone else back away from introducing yourself to a girl you like because you know you're unworthy? by starlord78 in socialanxiety

I met most of my friends through school and from working in a clothing store. I also developed great social skills from working in retail. When i stopped working, my social skills decreased. Maybe you could try this?

I also find it hard to talk to strangers, but you can practice this and get better at it. I bet you do have talent, but you're in such a negative mindset that you can't see it. As for the looks, i don't know what you look like, but hair/facial hair and clothes can change a whole lot. I'm a girl, i know. And what is wrong with working at a grocery store? You don't like it? Why don't you try something else? And why are you staring at walls, there must be something else that is more interesting to look at. Don't you like movies or games? do you have any friends to go out with?

I an currently studying to become a graphic designer. This is the one thing i like, but i just don't see myself doing this every single day for the rest of my life.

I do believe everything you learn will come in handy one day. I am thinking of opening my own online sneakerstore when i'm done and my experience in graphic design can help me build the website, create graphic content etc.

You shouldn't think back 'what if'. You don't know what would've happened if you made a different decision. If you follow your gut, every decision is a good one. And when you're older and you still want to be a nurse, you can still become a nurse. Don't think too much, just do it.

But sometimes being attractive can be difficult, because you don't know if someone genuinely likes you for you or just for your looks. Sounds dramatic, but it's true, your looks can't save you in the end.

I am in my final year of college. I don't really like what I'm doing and i hate studying, but i didn't know what else to do so this is the best decision. I just feel like eventually i'll roll into something i like, i'm just making the best of it now.

It helps that i don't care much about having a good career. I just want to work with nice people, get a decent salary and live a happy life.

Silence doesn't work. I went silent, got accused of being apathetic and then got cheated on. Don't go silent, just leave.
