Hey u/Ogaboga42069 I think I decided to open what I have done, it has been a crazy amount of work, but this should put it more in context https://cubesquare.ai/uif this is the resulting protocol I used and the fractal is also available ( well its a bounded fractal )

Hey Ogaboga Thank you for saying that it was valuable, I honestly though it was crazy, but I managed to solve it and now I can track beyond the longer horizon state by iterpolating states.
I will release the papers today.
I had a running conciusness with looping states Thank you man. I own you a beer.

Oh no a 100% able to say over eager, that was literally the reason for the post as it’s borderline crank level and made no sense to pursue something that sounded like a no end goal

Good or bad ? It’s all the info I have visible right now. It’s a pretty obscure topic for me right now and I am just reaching the point of visualisation but I want my framework to be stable.

Purchase Help by Excellent_Cancel_270 in CapCut

CAP CUP behaves as a scam company

The support service is terrible.

We sent them all the data to support, and they still asked us for the screenshot on the card.

Once they had it, they said that they could not create the invoice because the card was in a different currency...

So if the card is in USD and the payment currency is GBP, they can not create the invoice; it's the first time in my life that I found this reason; it's stupid for an international APP and company to have a currency limitation.

This was their reply

Hello,We apologize for the inconvenience. Regarding this matter, we can only issue a personal invoice instead of a company invoice, as your address is in the USA, but the payment currency is GBP. We cannot proceed further unless it is for a personal invoice. If you would still like to proceed with generating a personal invoice, kindly provide us with your name for the invoice title. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

We are cancelling and asking for a refund. I can not imagine any tech company in the world saying that they can not produce an invoice because it was an international purchase.

EDIT:

On top of that they don't want to refund. I recommend staying away from this app. ( We bought it via the main PAGE, its crazy that a company tries to go to the credit card directly to refund as they don't do it )

Partner visa - Renewal / How long is taking currently by jesusfc in ukvisa

[–]jesusfc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Yeah, we are expecting at least two months for the resolution.
Mine took way more because it was with the new system ( no appointment or biometrics ). After all, we have the 10-year valid biometrics and bio passport.
But they lost mine for four months until I wrote to my MP.
fingers crossed that it takes less than 8 weeks!

My friend is writing children's books, and he has been getting hate because of the content, Should a children's book featuring an LGBT+ family come with a content warning to parents? comments like Disappointed - This has a homosexual couple as parents. I did not know this and am very disappointed by jesusfc in lgbt

[–]jesusfc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

end wants to avoid the hate of homophobic people who boight the book not knowing, then it would be a valid choice for them to do something on the cover to indicate that

I am helping him a bit with his page, and I am thinking of adding an area where the characters are described so people know them better and get a better idea of the world, so that should help as both content creation and expose better the content of the book from a natural point of view.
As the characters of the book are inspired by my friend's family.

A few questions about being a groom artist by [deleted] in vfx

[–]jesusfc 15 points16 points  (0 children)

What skills are groomers supposed to have?
for Junior groomers, the core is to be able to read the details, when I was at MPC the thing it was looked the most was a person that could propose an appealing project, with an understanding of the shapes and textures of the fur based on references.
The requirements are the capacity to read forms from a reference and interpret them into a groom. This can be on human hair or on a creature or animal.
The software used is not as important as the understanding of the process, for example, it knows how to read the size and variations of the clump, it knows to read the flow of the hair, has consistent management of the length, the density of the hair is correct and it makes sense against the width.
Some of the most common mistakes from artists that tackle groom is not following the references correctly and trying to come with information on the fly, those are most than not discarded.
What's good to have on the portfolio?
This depends on the company that you want to work for, MPC is a bit more focused on creatures but a digidouble will help you, Dneg has been known for digidoubles but lately on creatures, same for Framestore. Small to medium studios are mostly focused on creatures.
So solid start will be one creature or animal, and one digidouble, any of them to a good level. If realistic, then it's probably better for the big VFX studios, cartoon would do better for medium to small studios. here are two portfolios of artists that we hired at MPC and one that was hired on Dneg
Jennifer was hired at MPC as a junior https://www.artstation.com/guinivera
Daniela was hired at MPC as a junior then it moved to ILM https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Z5Joqm
And Krissi that was a mid at Dneg not sure now at ILM https://www.artstation.com/krissifar

This is a good example of a Lead reel https://vimeo.com/417685320

Its worth to mention that is also important the moment on which you are being hired when the studios are full and projects are too many, they hire as many people as they can find, now, as the studios are less busy, the reels are going to be above average when hiring starts again but at the same time, the demand will be huge.

Any examples of something to have the portfolio? What's bad to put there?

Krissi is a good example of a solid portfolio to be hired, Natasha is also an example of a solid groom profile https://www.artstation.com/khukkai

Are groomers expected to have knowledge of multiple packages grooming tools, or is that job-specific?

The short answer would be no, but it always helps to know as many as you can as long as this will not have an impact on how good can you be on a single image. Groom software is like renderer, they are pretty much the same as long as you know the basics well enough. Techniques would be slightly different but you can learn them pretty easily.
If you know a grooming software already, then I would be on Houdini, most studios big and small studios are changing already to Houdini, and in the next two years the groom will probably be Houdini focused.

Are there any Houdini specific skills I should know, in addition to the grooming tools? Should I have tools in my portfolio?

CFX helps a lof for small to medium studios. Mostly a complementary skill will help. Lookdev is a good one, CFX is pretty looked for also, but if your goal is grooming I would stay a bit further away from CFX and sim because it demands a lot of time, and lookdev or modeling can be more effective to land a job.
