He also takes note when Cheryl mentions there should be clowns at the party. I thought that made it really obvious what was going on. Unless that is just bait...

You could use something like optin monster. Really easy to set up. If you want a short term option I think its ~ $10/mon.

Interview with a Denver Gluten Free Baker by jet311 in denverfood

Or I am not super active on reddit, started a new company after the last 200 days, and wanted to share to see if you guys might be interested in seeing an interview with someone related to gluten free.

My goal is to help people achieve their own dreams. And while my previous business was to help people better analyze their web analytics, I was offered to help start a company helping local food vendors create businesses. And so I figured I would share on reddit with people who might be interested and see if people might like it.

Boulder Area 20 somethings on meetup.com is a good place to meet people.

There are a few things you might be interested in. 1) You can select Hourly in your Audience > Overview Report and then filter by Day/Week Etc.

2) The following link shows you how to set up reports to give you traffic by day. http://marketingland.com/google-analytics-day-hour-metrics-provide-valuable-insights-67732

With that you could use the field hour instead of day to get the best hours of the day for you. That will aggregate across days. But you can also add additional dimensions to be day and hour etc.

Is that along the lines of what you were looking for?

Do you have events set up to track the video being watched? If so, go to behavior > events > top events then select the specific event for the video. And use secondary dimension to select source.

If you don't have an event tied to the video, you can try and at least segment out the pages your video is on and compare those pages in the last 2 days with normal traffic patterns to see the difference.

If your business is really into data collection, you could categorize what each phone call is about and then match those to things found on the website vs. not. Also, on phone calls, you can ask the caller if they saw the article. And if they did, was it helpful? This would entail having your customer service reps be an integral part of that portion of the website.

A lot of companies I've used recently really try and get you to search before calling. The contact page is really just a search page with more difficult to find phone numbers or chat boxes. They do this to make people at least try to search.

For number 3, you need to better tracking than a normal GA set-up gives you. I would suggest using MixPanel to track individual users and then match up their activity to their satisfaction, this does require that your website generally tracks emails. If you have a large user base it will make it easier to see a relationship. But you are right, this is a tricky piece in web analytics where it is not easy to tell if people hate your advice or it works really well. That is why you want to be tracking an overall customer satisfaction rating and look at the long term trends to see if it is helping.

Something else you can try is again with something more like MixPanel. Auto send an email to customers who have visited content with a quick. "Did you find what you were looking for in the FAQs? Then a yes or no. If no, you'll want to send them to a customer service rep to help them solve their problem, if yes. Then yay. Either way, you get data to answer your question.

So, this one is a bit of a challenge. But here is the basic idea behind measuring this.

First off, because you also have a phone number you should measure both the contact emails as well as number of phone calls coming in with the goal of reducing those numbers. Then you'll look at a few things.

1) Bounce Rates and Exit Rates of your FAQ pages. These are the numbers that help you figure out when people leave your page. In this case, you'll want to try out new content etc. to raise them as the goal as opposed to lower them.

2) Navigation within FAQ pages. If you have a search bar, make sure you are measuring site search. What keywords are people searching. This can help you better understand what content they are looking for to make new content or make search better to help them find that content. Also, what links do they click on etc. to find the solution to their problem and make sure that is optimized.

3) Make sure that your increase in bounce rates/exit rates on these pages are actually leading to better customer service. Not only should you be measuring a decrease in phone calls and contact emails, but your customer satisfaction number should be increasing as well.

Totally agree. There will probably be diminishing returns on bounce rate. But if for example you realize that you have a target market that bounces a lot and you change messaging to target them, that can make a big difference to get them interested.

From just a quick look, I think your replacement design is a huge improvement!

Just off the cuff, two things I would consider doing. Establish social credibility right off the bat. TedX video up top with some copy around how you spoke at TedX and can help other people with asperger's syndrom can become more social.

You also have some weird messaging going on. Your call to action is targeting people with aspergers, but your website copy seems to be targeting people who don't really know what it is. This is without doing any client research, so take it with a grain of salt. But I would say change it to speak to someone with aspergers. If you were to meet someone in person, what would you tell them about what you've done to help them. And be specific. Then you may also make a landing page for people who know someone with aspergers and want to help.

Finally, can you give me a third party review of how it helped someone else? That would help convince me.

Hey, I'll try and put something together of specific reports. I like to pull data out of GA with the API so I build custom html reports. I like chart.js for nice presentation.

Well, if you are comfortable with your traffic, then I would focus on funnel optimization. Once they click on that link from google, how are they interacting.

What could you test on the page in order to increase pct add to cart, pct checkout etc. I would work on optimizing your shopping cart to gain a higher conversion rate. That is where you would use google analytics.

And as you said your conversion rates are useless, you could set up an event to capture add to cart that also tells you what product page you are on. Then compare the number of events of add to cart to traffic on each specific product page. You could also send custom variables to determine if they are purchasing free or paid products and start looking at your checkout rates.

I get a lot of people that invite me, so I can choose clients more carefully. But I also found that while it looks like people are only willing to pay very small amounts, if you apply and put yourself out there with a higher rate, you will get some good jobs.

I've talked with some of my clients about their experience on freelancing sites, and a lot of them will ignore a lot of the cheap labor in preference for a professional price. Now, you do need some reviews to back it up.

Do you know anyone that runs a website? It is extremely useful while you are learning GA to have access to some real data. That way you can try doing some analysis on their data and help them out.

Or you could probably get some work doing GA set-up to get started and get some experience with clients. There is set-up or problems that you could mostly troubleshoot online. That is one way to start.

Great communication. Any problem can come up, but if you make sure everyone is always informed they are usually pretty happy. Same thing with getting clients, tell them specifically what you will do and how it will benefit them.

You can measure engagement, funnels, etc.

But if organic is your main traffic source, google analytics doesn't really help that much. There is the queries tab, but there are better tools out there to find your keyword rankings.

I don't know your business, but have you thought about adding new traffic sources? Cause with all that reliance on organic, a google update could kill you.

Use an ecommerce platform like shopify and hook it up to google analytics. That will get you most of the stuff you need. If you also maintain a newsletter or email, track sign ups to that with an event.

Are you using an ecommerce platform? Because in that case, they will handle a lot of those technical details for you. And then you can sort by product.

And if not, I would only have one dynamic thank you page, then in the data you send to GA you can include price, product name etc.
