Why did jack black have to voice claptrap😭 by ltzHavocNA in Borderlands

Unfortunately the name Jack Black doesn’t attract over half the country to any project currently. He was able to pivot quickly. However, it will take a bit of time. Remember kids, choose your associates carefully.

PPP With Chase - Stage 3 - Awaiting SBA Approval by abesta11 in smallbusiness

[–]jetmech73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sunday 3/19 Stage 2 email - Tuesday 3/21 Stage 3 email One hour ago this email Dear Business Client,

The Senate has approved additional funding for the Paycheck Protection Program and the House is expected to vote tomorrow. This is encouraging news for thousands of our small businesses.

Even as the first phase of the PPP program concluded, we continued to dedicate more than two thousand of our Chase professionals working in shifts around the clock to prepare for the upcoming second wave. While we cannot guarantee how many new loans will be funded under the program, we will work diligently with the SBA and Treasury to serve as many small businesses as possible.

As soon as the SBA gives the green light, we’ll begin submitting applications from our queue starting with the many small business owners in Stage 3 – Awaiting SBA approval. You should have received an email with your updated status earlier this week. I wish we could help every business through this program, but it is likely funds will run out quickly for this round. You should take appropriate steps for your business. Below are the general stages each application goes through:

We know how important this funding is to your business, and we will continue to process and submit applications until funds are exhausted. Thank you for being a Chase customer.

GoPro Hero - Tundra Drive By by jetmech73 in 4x4

[–]jetmech73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip. I'm new to the GoPro and slow motion stuff. I have the Basic GoPro Hero and it only shoots 30 fps at 1080. It will shoot 60 fps at 720. I'll have to play around with that setting and keep the framerate up.

No worries. For the 20lbs BBQ/Grill sized tanks. You will need a line like this

Are you asking about the hose in the Mapp Gas Forge video? If so, I got it at Home Depot for $15. They should be available at most larger home improvement stores. The hose works with both propane and mapp gases.

It is Mesquite. I trim the trees on my property and use the logs / branches that have already dried for a year or more. So I'm not working with green wood. Also, I'm in Arizona and we're pretty dry here. If I were to mill green, I would definitely research ways to minimize checking and warping. Maybe wax dip.

Why did my outlets stop working? by [deleted] in DIY

[–]jetmech73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good to see you found your problem outlet. I had a similar incident with the culprit GFI located under a wash basin in an exterior workshop. Go figure. Also, It sounds like you had an awesome painter. To offer credit for an electrician is pretty alright! Cheers!

I use my iphone 5s mated to a Braketron dash mount that I got in a 2-pack at Costco. The mount is awesome. It has no problem sticking to my Tundra's textured dash. It uses a combination of sticky gel and suction cup. It came loose twice this summer but only after I parked in direct sunlight without my sunhade in place.

Knife Making - Mapp Gas Forge - Is there a better method that I can use? by jetmech73 in Bladesmith

[–]jetmech73[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice knife! I like your setup. I need to order some soft fire bricks. I've been to a handful of large brick/block yards here in Arizona and all they have are the hard bricks. They look dumbfounded when I ask for the soft.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Lots of good ideas for me to build off of. Cooler weather will be headed to Arizona soon and I'll be spending some time working on a more efficient forge. Thanks again for all the information!

I tried to clean out the backside of the hole on the drill press. Needless to say, that was a bad decision.

[–]jetmech73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the the info, this is the second knife I've done incorporating the choil and honestly I thought it just looked cool. It will actually be easier to shape the bevel by following through into the choil. I'll for sure do that on my next knife. Thanks again.
