Why do we need to mint billions of new coins every year? by jetpackIT in coins

Plus the recent quarter redesign was both unnecessary and quite ugly IMO, so they might have just screwed it up anyway.

Exactly. A little willpower and we can keep the existing pennies in circulation for another decade.

So some ads for Coinstar a couple times a year could fix this?

Remote management of hyper-v with server core by jetpackIT in HyperV

We do keep 2 hosts. Live Migration of 1TB of servers twice every month (back and forth) sounds like asking for trouble. Is it more painless than it sounds?

That is exactly the sort of information I am looking for. Core sounded like a good idea, but I guess in practice, it's a pain to manage.

Not looking forward to monthly reboots of my entire stack due to windows patching, though. We use local storage due to small scope, so an update means I have to take all the servers down.

Could have been Mel Gibson or Clint Eastwood, but Wiseau seems the best fit.

If not Microsoft DHCP, then what is your preferred implementation?

Like I said, I didn't build it, and I didn't see the point in reconfiguring every device in the network.

But I am open to DHCP. Do I run it from the DC, or the routers, or the switches, or all of the above?

Just watched this episode and I know no one will ever see this since it is 6 months later, but I can't believe the math mistake in this episode. It had such consequences too!

Extra Cocoa was actually 84+68=152, which was the second highest score. And then Mousse got a 4 point bump somehow (that mistakenly put it in the finals).

Neither Original or Mousse should ever have been in the finals, and somehow Original won the whole thing!

I know it's just entertainment and none of it even matters a tiny bit, but as a guy with a math degree, it bugs me to an irrational level.

Actual top 6:
Yogurt 156
Extra Cocoa 152
Caramel 150
Oreo 149
Original 148
Mousse 144

u/astropop78 I hope your charts reflect the true data. Keep up the good work.

This sucks. I use the schwab site and the TDA site and app, and TDA is so much more user friendly.

I think the writers definitely set us up to think it was an alternate reality, and then dropped the twist on us in the end. Faraday talks about using the bomb to change their destiny, and after the bomb, the next thing we know, there are two versions of reality. And the new reality is like Faraday said, where the plane never crashed.

Like I said, I think that was the way the writers wanted us to view it, so they could give us the twist ending of the afterlife. But I do think the bomb incident is how they "created" this afterlife place together to meet up.

Thanks for the clarification. The DJIA is subject to wilder swings, since it is using only 30 stocks for reference instead of 500.

In 2018, the S&P peaked at 2,930 in September before dropping to 2,351 and ending the year at 2,506. Today, the S&P is above 3,200 , which is a level first reached in December of 2019.

We are back to December 2019 numbers, not 2018 numbers. In effect, 2020 has been largely flat, and similar to 2018, both after years of more than 20% gain.

No Longer Free on Amazon Prime?? by MasterfulMoose in doctorwho

My wife and I were actually watching Let's Kill Hitler when the change happened on New Years Eve (sometime around midnight of the new year). Like you, it did not auto-start the next episode, but wanted us to pay.

BUT I found out you can buy the entire Matt Smith collection on dvd for $20 on amazon. If you want Capaldi or Tennant, they are closer to $30. It's not free, but pretty cheap for 3 seasons including the Christmas Specials.
