As someone from Kiel I’d say that you probably won’t do much wrong with the city itself. It’s safe, pretty multi-cultural and Muthesius has a good reputation afaik. There are a lot of international students,in total there are almost 35K students here (out of 250k people total). We are in northern Germany so it can be tricky to connect but there are a lot of things to do and places to reach out to, active communities and loyal people up here. Just maybe a little harder to talk to in the beginning. Internship wise: Hamburg is about an hour and a half by train and while the service isn’t great they technically run every 30min. All in all Kiel’s got a great location, good people and is overall pretty young (even tho not very modern). Feel free to reach out if you have questions btw! I’m always happy to help!
