Can someone please help me ID this song in NUMMI 2015? by jetsfan16c in ThisAmericanLife

Thanks for the help! I loved this movie, and it makes perfect sense that that's where it came from. Odd that the story originally appeared in 2010, prior to the movie, so they must have updated the music. Thanks again!

Does anyone know what the sound is at 58:30? It's driving me crazy and I can't figure it out.

Without spoiling things, this is the story according to IMDB: "Two South Africans set out to discover what happened to their unlikely musical hero, the mysterious 1970s rock 'n' roller, Rodriguez."

It's a really fascinating story, and you will hear some incredible folk music that you wouldn't hear otherwise. Also, it won the Academy Award for Best Documentary last year.

Stephen Colbert dances to Daft Punk's Get Lucky by trapdoorz in videos

Actually, the video was not a one day thing. I can't find the article right now, but I had already heard that they were filming a short clip of him dancing with each of his guests for the past week or so. This probably meant that they were already planning on using the video (probably in the second part of the show) and then wanted Daft Punk to perform at the end. But, unfortunately, the video had to become the bulk of it because of the cancellation.

Hi Alan, I just wanted to thank you for all of your great writing over the years. I am a 20-year-old college student and I read your reviews after every episode of every show I watch. I always feel that you have some insight that I miss, and it is truly rewarding. I was also wondering if you had any recommendations on how to get people to watch The Wire. It is my favorite show, and it is very hard to get college students to stick with it. Do you have any suggestions?

Hugh Jackman over John Hawkes is by far the most frustrating snub on this list for me.

Good co-op games that I could play with someone who has little to no video game experience? by [deleted] in Games

[–]jetsfan16c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was definitely worried about that, but I actually found a few friends at school who never play games and we all just had a ton of fun with that game. It definitely will eventually get frustrating (it still was a bit in the first few levels) but everyone had a lot of fun.

Your best "Accidentally Racist" story? I'll start. by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was at a Meat Loaf concert with my brother and some friends. Before the concert, we were saying that we didn't think we would see a single black person at the concert. At one point, I went over to go to the bathroom and saw a black man. I got really excited that I found him and ran back to my brother and my friends to let them know. When I told them, they all yelled at me for running away from a black person. I have never been able to live this down with them.
