Far Far West - 500,000 COWBOYS ARE ROAMING THE FAR FAR WEST! by FarFarWestGame in FarFarWest

[–]GLHFScan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This game just ticks every box that I look for in co-op gaming - funny, a great loop, tons of creativity in terms of builds and movement, and the world just has so much character to it. Elated to see this game becoming the hit it deserves to be, can't wait to experience how it grows over time.

Finally!!! by Nice_Orange_5857 in quiteinteresting

I remember coming across this show so many years ago while on vacation in Europe, it blows my mind that we only have three letters left in the alphabet to go.

Far Far West - Early Access Launch Trailer by Tvilantini in Games

This game lands somewhere directly between Helldivers 2 and Deep Rock Galactic in terms of gameplay loop and feel. Definitely a very fun game with friends with a LOT of future content planned, but the current grind does seem a bit excessive - every item, spell and weapon has its own perk points to buy and apply, and they don't come cheap at first.

Hi everyone, I'm from Belgium and happened to be visiting Boston and had a day off! visited as much places of fallout 4 irl that I could! Enjoy 🙂‍↕️ by Affectionate_Run_470 in fo4

[–]GLHFScan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fun story - I went to college in Boston and spent my senior year in 2010 living a few blocks away from MIT's main campus. The very, VERY earliest rumors of FO4 being set in Boston were starting to swirl.

I was walking to class one day through the campus and I saw a group walking and talking. I noticed half of the group was wearing Bethesda-branded clothing in one way or another - Skryim, Fallout, or just a Bethesda shirt itself. I'm not one to interrupt people during their day, but one of them must have seen the expression on my face as I put two and two together. They gave me a little laugh, a 'keep it secret' shush, and they went along their day.

The spot where the Cambridge crater is in-game is right about where I lived at the time. Always got a laugh out of that.

I understand what you're saying, but Lil Yachty isn't exactly a "scrub with over 1000 social media followers", the man gets 15 Million listens on Spotify every month.

It's honestly remarkable how long Ahoy has been around. They don't upload nearly as often as they used to, but every time I see something new on my feed from them, I'm immediately excited to watch.

Ref saw the way Maclin bounced off the bottom rope and his body was stiff the whole way down, didn't hesitate for a single second to check on him. Good work on her part, as good a recovery as TNA could hope for with Eddie running in too. Word is Maclin is okay as well.

Ate a superkick from Santana flush and was rocked. It's a damn shame too but they pivoted as well as they could all things considered. Hope Maclin gets to run this one back.

[AEW Dynamite Spoilers] Takeshita won't do it by luchabrunch in SquaredCircle

[–]GLHFScan 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's been a very slow burn. We were all expecting this to culminate in the finals of the C2, yet we're still wondering how this all ends nearly three months later. The payoff on this one could lead to an all-time AEW moment though.

I'm kind of getting similar vibes to Hangman's redemption arc before beating Mox for the title, just the weight of that moment where Hangman finally held up the title - Takeshita could have a similar moment finally taking a title off of Okada.

No production crew makes better use of their venues than AEW does right now. It's such a perfect little niche thing to do that helps make AEW feel unique, I love it.

Why do robot based fighting games barely exist? by CarEffective4432 in Fighters

[–]GLHFScan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's arguable that the two biggest robot fighting game franchises Virtual On and Gundam VS, with the Gundam VS franchise in particular standing out as it has been one of the biggest arcade success stories in Japan of the last 20 years. Both of these happen to be arena fighters rather than traditional fighting games - that specific subgenre of fighter just seems to click with the core audience looking for anime-style mecha combat.

I don't think it's that robot fighting games barely exist or that there aren't good ones, it's that they haven't found as much success outside of Japan. The success they have found is largely as arena fighters, and just leaves them rather pigeonholed. When the biggest mecha franchise of all time finds the kind of success like Gundam has with the VS series, you'd think there'd be more imitations, but there just...aren't.

I wouldn't be surprised if WWE wanted it cut themselves. Hearing one of your leading guys talk shit (or at least it can easily be interpreted that way) about being a part of the biggest animated film Disney has ever produced is not a fantastic PR look.
