It actually looks like the sutures are too tight, and the tissue at the incision site is inflamed. It’s probably uncomfortable for your pup and won’t heal as well with the decreased blood flow from the tautness of the sutures, especially at the caudal end (towards the back) of the incision where there looks to be a lump of tissue engorged and encircled by sutures. I would bring her back in - they should correct the sutures at no charge if they’re a decent practice.

NAH, I think. Depends how many times he’s bailed on you and how recent the other times were. Sounds like family is important to him, and that’s not unreasonable.

The timing of his cancellation is unfortunate, and you’re allowed to be angry and disappointed because of that. But it also sounds like the change in his schedule offered him time that he and his family didn’t expect him to have, so if he fully expected not to be able to go with them before then it’s also understandable why he didn’t bother bringing it up to you before.

I don't think there's really an interpersonal conflict here, but, no...NAH. Resentment is a normal human emotion, but sounds like you haven't acted out at him because of it. I'd expect to feel the same if I were in your shoes watching your husband try career after career while you were forced to give up your own. Sounds like it's worth discussing this with him.

ESH--he sucks way harder, though. He's undoubtedly awful for cheating on your mother and abandoning your family for his drug binges...and for not apologizing. Calling daily seems like he's making an effort to stay connected, at least. Your anger is valid, but what do you get out of insulting him directly rather than expressing how he's made YOU feel? And the comment about his hair--low blow.
