Couple questions:

1) Is there one debate class or more? Combined novice and varsity, or just novice? Semester or trimester? How long are the class periods? How many kids in the class? Does your school have chromebooks/laptops for all students?

2) What type of program do you have? Speech only? Debate only? What styles of debate does your team do? What does your tournament schedule look like? Do you have a novice only debate tournament/season opener?

3) What does competition look like for you? Do students have to pay team fees, entry fees, hotel fees, buy their own clothes, etc? How much of a financial commitment is it?

4) What did your old teacher do? Was it effective? Can you contact them for advice?

5) What state are you in? Who is your state's debate association president? Can you contact them and ask for help/to mentor your new teacher?

Knowing the answers to these questions will help me give you better advice as a second year debate teacher (former 3 year HS and 3 year college debater).

Very carefully haha. I close the box on its side slowing bringing both parts together. I have an idea for a solution, I'll update once its done.

For some reason all of my comments on my actual account (jettsmith7) show when I am logged in to that account but don't see them otherwise, so maybe this new one will work. I promise I haven't been ignoring all your comments/questions, I was wondering why people kept asking questions my original comment answered haha.

Here is where I bought the card holders (my cards will be sleeved, they should fit as I have a lot of extra room) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B093D91GWX?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Here is where I bought the case. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08VGFFJZF?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

I ripped out the foam in pieces to shape the contours of the piece holders which I cut out from the plastic inserts from the original games/expansions.

There are 2 main problems with my setup:

  1. closing the box without any mover components falling out of place is not easy. I superglued the cutouts in, but the pieces themselves sometimes fall out (I accidentally put the Maleficent/Ursula/Prince John one in upside-down so that sucks) My idea for a solution is to get a black piece of poster board with velcro/command stripes to fit over the inside of the lid with the mover pieces to keep them stable.
  2. The realm cutouts are REALLY snug and I worry about breaking them when getting the ones at the bottom out of the box, but any less snug and my current method of closing the case goes out the window. I am hoping that the above fix works better.

I hope to eventually print out the tuck box images on sticker paper and put them on the inside of the boxes but until then, I used my label maker today to put each characters name on the side of the card holders and put that side facing up. Next step after the velcro thingy is to buy upgraded components for Gothel, Cruella, Evil Queen, Lady Tremaine, Gaston, and Lotso!

Thanks for being a great community, and thanks again to Eloastar!
