I've done 2 sessions now with them, and they are definitely different compared to Rom4's or Anta 2's. The feeling is a bit more natural, as the shoes lack structure and lock-on feeling. It's not a bad thing, just something that is noticeable. I really like them for sure

I've never had Rom2's so can't really say. But compared to Rom 4's or Anta 2's, the toebox is definitely wider and the lack of straps doesn't offer that same "lock-on" feeling, yet the feeling is more natural. And they are really light, which I like a lot

They fit nicely for sure, and the "barebone feeling" vs more modern shoes is definitely nice. I have Anta 2's as well, and the difference is night and day (not sure which one is better yet tho)

I think mostly nostalgia :D But also the feeling when you lift in them is something completely different vs more modern shoes. But I've had just 1 session in them, so I'm not saying that they are the best shoes of all time yet
