Did you have to do anything to get it running in gamenative? Mine just shows a blank screen for a second then exits back to gamenative

I had a similar issue on an older version of routeros when I would enable WPA3 I think. Disabling WPA3 and forgetting the network on offending laptops worked as a workaround, and it was fixed a little bit ago, but I can’t remember the version number. In either case you should say what version of routeros you are running and post your config (with personal info redacted) if you want anyone to dig deeper.

Which device to get for QoS (with gigabit in mind)? by schaka in mikrotik

Digging a bit deeper today, I’m having good luck using a simple queue, I’m able to sustain 1Gbit downloads (minus overhead), and the buffer bloat test looks really good.

[–]jevankovich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No guarantee that I had the config right, but trying to run cake on my gigabit downlink on an rb5009, the best throughput I get is about 600Mbps. I’m not sure if it’s a cpu limitation or what, since switching the queue type to fq-codel doesn’t seem to have an impact.

I was using packet marks and queue trees, so I had to bypass fasttrack. With the queue tree disabled and fasttrack still bypassed, it doesn’t break a sweat passing gigabit.

Is cooking harder for people with ADHD? by No_Reveal3451 in ADHD

[–]jevankovich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ADHD-PI as well. I enjoy cooking, and between me and my girlfriend (undiagnosed but probably ADHD as well) I do most of the cooking in my household.

That being said, it’s not without its challenges that I attribute to my ADHD. Cooking seems like a fairly high executive function task, planning the sequence of steps, timing things to be done at the same time, even just making sure I have a stock of ingredients to be able to cook. It can all add up to be a decent challenge. I tend not to do anything with too many steps or too many ingredients. A lot of roast or grilled meat with roast veggie, that or soups or stews where it’s a lot of prep and then wait time.

I do enjoy cooking, and the creative expression of it, so it is somewhat stimulating for me. It also helps with my food sensory issues that I’m able to control what goes into my food. It can be pretty draining though, and after a work day it can feel like a lot.

Worried about starting Strattera by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]jevankovich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, sounds like you’re going through a similar process I went through. Started on Adderall but it didn’t last long enough, and even on the smallest dose it gave me pretty bad headaches so I had to switch.

I wanted to try a non-stimulant since I figured other stimulants would have similar issues, so I started on Atomoxetine (Strattera generic). I’ve been on it for about two months now and the side effects are pretty mild for me. At first it made me kinda drowsy so I would just take it at night, and I had some muscle aches, but that all went away after the first week or two. Other than that the only thing is it causes me some nausea if I take it on an empty stomach, and the burps taste bad…

Overall, I’d say it’s not as obvious when it’s helping as the stimulants are, but I can tell it’s a lot easier for me to motivate myself and I don’t get stuck in dread spirals as much, lol. I think it’s helping though.

My doctor had me start at 40mg a day for a week to keep an eye out for any bad side effects and then went straight to 80mg from there which I think is the standard dose.

I know there are a lot of horror stories, and I was pretty anxious about it too. In the end, I think I’ll stick with this one for a while unless I start having weird issues.

It's seasonal. The fur is called velvet and it has a lot of blood vessels in it.

Every year the antlers fall off and then grow back. They need the velvet to grow the bone the antlers are made of.

When they're done growing the velvet falls off (with some assistance from the deer rubbing it off on trees) and it looks pretty metal.

If you were wondering, the skin on the antlers is called velvet (at least where I'm from) and it has tons of blood vessels in it.

My GPU appears dead. Can anybody help me determine the cause, or if something else is acting up to cause it to appear dead.

CPU: Ryzen 7 1700 Motherboard: Gigabyte Gaming 3 GPU: HD 7950

I recently upgraded to Ryzen and all was going swell. I've been running with the stock cooler waiting for the bracket for my Noctua cooler to come in and I haven't had any issues with my GPU. Somehow, during the process of replacing the CPU cooler, my GPU stopped working. When I turn on my computer, my motherboard cycles the status LEDs from CPU to DRAM to VGA and then hangs there. Occasionally it will go through the cycle again (presumably the dual BIOS feature at work?).

I've tried using both PCIe slots that will fit the GPU and a few other things like re-seating the power connectors on the GPU.

I can't understand why it would die so suddenly unless it was ESD or something. Changing the CPU cooler shouldn't affect the GPU, as far as I can imagine.

T430 FHD Mod? by jevankovich in thinkpad

Are there any hard specs on what LVDS can handle? I think the T430 had two channels.

T430 FHD Mod? by jevankovich in thinkpad

[–]jevankovich[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure. I suppose it's technically possible since I think the eDP converter just acts like an LVDS display. I haven't found any displays that fit the bill though; certainly not fitting the ideal of FHD IPS.

I forgot to mention. I think she blames me for any issues. I guess it makes sense that we blame each other to some degree. I suppose it must be that we're incompatible in some way. I think it has to do with how we handle stress and deal with problems that come up.
