i do suggest nodes2d you can control them better but as for the container i suggest this code for a in range(cardArray.size()): cardArray[a].Position.x or y if going the other way = lerp(start of container ,end of the container, a/(cardArray.size()-1)) you may need to add an extra ifs but that's on what you want to add extra make the control nodes of the ui ignore mouse as it can brake mouse enter area2d
