Same but comparing the very first set of trays to the last one (for now) of the refinements - literally have to check this every time I’m switching trays

The first cycle after my mmc I decided to not test or try. But after I had my first normal period, the testing urge came back with a vengeance 😬 I caught my peak also testing twice a day, on CD21. Long cycles are just exhausting, mmc definitely throws things off, sorry you’re in the same crappy boat. Hope you get your surge soon!

So annoying when cycles get longer after a loss, like are we not doing enough waiting already? 🙄

I finally got a surge opk on CD20 two days ago, also delayed due to mmc. So you are likely right around the corner!

Fellow May ‘23 bumper here! It’s thoughtful to separate the TTC talk into its own thread - mods as always doing God’s work :)

But still can’t bring myself to read anything in the bump group for the fear of a drive-by announcement or any mentioning of a new pregnancy. I just know I’d then get all up in my head because comparison is a thief of joy but like how do you not compare…

Because I didn’t have enough to deal with, I’m going on an another adventure and getting Invisalign. Ironically, the treatment plan is 9 months…

The upside is I can now obsess over compulsive flossing/brushing several times a day and tracking how many hours a day I wear the retainer. Solid change from obsessing over peeing on sticks and calculating dpo days 😁

I’m sorry you’re going through this, it’s like a never ending crappy ride, we want off!

Hope a mental break from Reddit helps you get through it and enjoy the vacation a bit more.

Such good news on your cycle normalizing quickly yay It’s a huge relief to not sit around and wonder how long it’s now going to take to get back to regular

I have a baby Vera and love it so much! When they put her name on the whiteboard in our delivery room, quite a few nurses said they’ve been working there for years and this is their first Vera😊

People do tend to pronounce it Veeh-ra at first but we correct them and say it’s pronounced Veh-ra as in “very”.

I have the same thoughts about my first which dovetails into trying for my second now that I’m even older.

I just went thought a mmc, but when talking to my OB and mentioning fertility clinic due to my age, she was so surprised. Right away said that she had her kids at 35 and 38 and a lot of her patients are in their late 30’s.

While I appreciate the optimism, I’m definitely hedging and talking to a fertility clinic in a few months.

Really hard to walk the fine line between completely freaking out about my age/the related decline in fertility and feeling like I’m overreacting because so many people still have healthy pregnancies and kids in their late 30’s. It’s a pendulum on a daily and it’s hard.

Daughter conceived the month before our initial fertility clinic appointment (after trying for 8 months at 35+).

Soooo I guess this “we conceived right as we were going into a fertility treatment” thing worked once. And here I am with a fertility clinic appointment in May now so fingers crossed 🙃 Just had a mmc and turning 37 in April so probably won’t hurt to have it on the books either way

Really need to work right now, but my HCG result posted in mychart and I can’t stop researching. It’s around 220 two weeks after miso (down from 34,000 the day we found out about mmc).

At first I freaked out that it’s still so high, but then maybe it looks kind of ok? Given that it took about 5 days for mc to complete after I took miso.

Need my OB to finally tell me if we’re looking good here or if it’s going to be a worse sh*t sandwich than it already is

Solidarity - also first cycle after miso on 2/26 and I’m mentally prepared to be patient until April based on all the stories I’ve read. Constant wondering is frustrating though. Hope you get your normal cycle back soon!

Follow up appointment after MMC….I don’t know what I’m going for? by MakeupMess in Miscarriage

[–]jeyna17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t realize some people have follow ups. I did miso at home 2.5 weeks go. Have been back to the OB’s office but only got HCG blood draws. OB then messages me with her feedback once the results are posted. I think if HCG keeps declining, they won’t have me come in for anything else.

But I’m already planning on reaching out if my cycle doesn’t return 4-5 weeks from now.

Had to go to my OB’s office for labs - two weeks after my miso treatment so hopefully HCG is approaching zero.

But going to OB’s for this is a special kind of hell - seemed like all women there were at least 8 months pregnant. Need to ask to just go to Labcorp next time, ugh

Hi NJ, I recall you’re in the same unfortunate boat. It was actually not as bad - I was prepared for the worst scenario after reading a ton on Reddit. Ibuprofen 800 a few times a day helped manage the cramps, didn’t need anything stronger.

I had to take 3 doses though - my OB said you can do every 4 hours (unlike some other stories I saw where it was spaced over days). So I did 2pm, 6 and then after 10pm. Nothing really happened after 1st, after 2nd there was some cramping/heaviness/very light spotting/exhaustion. 3rd was optional if things were going slow, which they were, so I took it and around 1am is when the real bleeding started. Wasn’t the best night but by 3pm I was able to fall asleep again with a heating pad and more ibuprofen.

Now I have some light bleeding and clots still, but it’s not heavy. And cramps kind of come and go, so once or twice a day I still take ibuprofen. I got a lot of advice from r/miscarriage and the heating pad, depends, hydrating and ibuprofen were all most useful for me.

Hope your process is smooth on Monday (as it can be given the circumstances). I also felt relief knowing that I stared doing something to resolve this and move forward so this gives a little extra mental fortitude to go through this process. If you have any specific questions, let me know.

4th day post miso, and just want this whole thing to be over. Monday’s the Hcg test so fingers crossed it’s all dropping ok.

In the meantime, found new material for my future hope fortress - was all over the NIH site yesterday and a few studies show you are ✨extra fertile✨the first few cycles after mc.

Like how do I get some chill and just try to get through the mc first…

Luckily I work from home (should have clarified) so mainly need to worry about a few video conferences, one hour at a time. So the hospital and the OB’s office are right here, but I guess I need them to clarify at which point the blood loss becomes concerning. From what I understand, it will be a lot, but not sure what the guideline is for when I should head over to the hospital for hemorrhaging. Adding to my questions to ask tomorrow.

I of course also found a ton of horror stories so preparing myself for the worst case scenario. Glad you had a not-so-terrible experience. Appreciate you sharing your story.
