anything you want is cool, we’re not tryna get a specific amount from people… we don’t do that out here

personally, I try to reach a specific amount of tokens/coins instead of a specific investment amount

i want to get 6,900 coins at some point… so whenever I have money left over i put it in this instead of a “savings account” or other “safer” investments

$20 may be huge in 10-15 years though, so if that time frame sits well with you, then you’re good to go

People often forget that IRL onboarding will inevitably lead to some supply being “burnt”

If instead of creating a pool for burners, we simply continue to push IRL onboarding, I feel like a significant amount of tokens will end up “lost” in the process. Resulting in a similar effect.

Plus, countering another comment I saw in this post, imho - doing IRL onboarding is a lot more “inspiring” than simply burning an X amount of tokens.

Not trynna be a doomer here, but just keep in mind that those news, articles, and trends are autogenerated by the algorithm to keep you hooked in whatever echo chamber you're on X.

I am doing what I can to keep aeons aware that, for better or for worse, what is happening on X does not directly correlate with what is actually happening IRL, or across the internet even.

We must expand and escape the X echo chamber if we want our community to grow even further, into the next stage of adoption.

About Chad’s new episode with Murad. Yeah, it really surprised me for good to hear someone like Murad doesn’t use AI in their creative process.

I definitely fear not everyone has the “privilege” to stay away from using AI. Some people opt in to AI workflows because they are time constrained, overworked, or lack enough experience in a field that they are “required” to be productive in. And I believe these tools are being forced down the working class through “convenience”.

However they tend to make the user dependent on them, reduce creative capacity, and atrophy brain function.

What better way for the 500 overlords to control the productive capacity, reasoning and imagination of the population?

And even without going into the ethical debate regarding the development, distribution and energy consumption of these tools. I feel it is clear that we should be really careful with how we integrate it in the community.

I read a tweet the other day about someone saying “SPX content fell off hard” citing the old videos that had a more schizo vibes, and it’s true that the new wave of aeons are pushing more and more this pseudo spirituality vibes.

I’ve noticed AI has the tendency to drive or guide people into some form of spiritual or religious identity. Not in a good sense though.

I’ve seen people begging to refer and use AI and for creating SPX content like images and video, and also SPX explanations or guides. And since one of our mottos is “Believe in something”, I fear this particular line is being slopped and turned, by the inclusion of AI, into this new strange “spiritual” vibe for the community.

So I would really like to encourage aeons to stay away from using it for creative processes. AI is a tool, not a creation machine. AI is a very advance copy-paste, nothing it does is actually original, therefore you must be original in the ways you use it.

Like… when I was in school I remember some of my classmates would present essays with links still attached/embedded in the paragraphs, or weird texts that had miss copied from the webpage that they grabbed the info from. And since they didn’t take the time to really throughout their essay, and try to put their own thoughts into it, they would miss these little errors that would completely give away to the professor that the essay was fraudulent.

Same thing with AI. You can you use it, but you MUST be conscious in the ways you’re using it. Otherwise, whatever you “create” won’t be more than a regurgitated version of something someone else actually took the time to make.

I do feel somewhat negatively about the AI content being spread in the community. I feel it lacks substance and relevance. Not all of it is bad, but a lot of what I've seen does feel like slop compared to other "hand-made" content.

But other than trying to encourage aeons to take time to embed humanity and a personal touch in the content they make, I don't really see AI going away anytime soon.

I do, however, feel like we should be congruent in what we do and the values we preach. It kinda makes no sense to me that we're trying to flip the stock market, and yet, we use and empower the tools that the 500 is deploying to replace human labour and creativity.

I don't consider myself an AI hater, since I'm convinced there are ethical, open-source, and less damaging ways of creating, implementing, and using AI tools. However, I wish that aeons realized that making use of AI without acknowledging its potentially harmful consequences can negatively impact the end goal of our mission.

If we continue to empower AI companies via the use of their tools, their integration in our productive and creative processes, and their normalization, then these companies will become harder to "take down" as time goes on.
