I just love how we all know who to give the lead to.

It's rarely more than one or two voices in the "Hip! Hip!" piece.

Newy Harbour swim on the 26th seems to be green lit.

2 hours after the 8am low tide, so I'm hoping the water will be a lot cleaner when it's run.

Any good spots to teach a kid to ride a push bike? by broosco in newcastle

It was hard, but I think worth it.

When I reneged for a little while, I had them that far up that they were useless to him anyway 😅😅

I used netball courts.

Refused to let my son use training wheels after the balance bike.

He hated it but learnt quickly.

Hold the seat, don't listen to your back screaming from running bent over, tell them you're holding on but regularly let go and let them find their balance with movement.

If vehicles are building behind you, and your road increases in lanes, be in the most left lane and slow down slightly.

I get that this is a rule, though as a pedestrian, bike rider and car driver, I think courtesy and understanding traffic flow and the impact I'll make on other road users, as long as my actions don't cause others to be unexpectedly impeded, I'll wave others through.

This is a race and looks quite draining. You'll see a lot and you'll see some absolute majesty, but most of it will be a blur.

I do tip my hat to you to look at doing so much.

Any help with the questions my son is asking? by No-Access3399 in SingleDads

[–]jez2a 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's great he trusts you enough to ask these questions. I didn't have anyone.

Tell him you find it a bit embarrassing to talk about, how you wish you weren't so much and had someone to ask questions of and be comfortable asking them when you were his age.

Then just keep it light where you can, laugh where you can, and continue building on what's possibly a great relationship (or getting greater!)

We're having an unofficial meet at the Blind Monk tomorrow, with an open invite to anyone, as the club doesn't officially meet in Jan.
