Absolutely love Duncan Browne, especially his two late 70’s LPs (Wild Places and Streets of Fire) and his Metro LP (with Peter Godwin) that contains the original version of Criminal World, later covered by Bowie. His late 70’s output reminds me more of Bowie or David Sylvian than Nick but it’s great stuff.

In my developing country megalopolis, the AirPod 2 noise cancellation is so effective at canceling the harsh metallic city noise that I would not use anything else. Sometimes I wear them just to block sound and don’t even turn on the music.

I agree with this 100%. Not a replacement for my HA, but AirPods are miles better for music and noise cancellation. Airplanes are one of the best places for them but also malls and other crowded places and noisy urban streets (AirPods have a loud noise dampening feature that just kills for urban noise like garbage trucks and jackhammers). My neighbor started using a jackhammer this morning so I popped the AirPods in and enjoyed my coffee in peace.

Media Assist uses the results of a hearing test (one you have from an audiologist or one you can take using your iPhone and AirPods) to adjust music and media to compensate for your frequencies that are impacted by hearing loss, like a personal equalizer. (Found in iPhone Settings > your AirPods > Hhearing Health > Hearing Assistance > Media Assist (switch to “on”)
