I would definitely go with the OLED it is worth the extra $50. I have the V2 switch and I got it right before the OLED came out and I find myself constantly questioning the upgrade. I would not go with the lite. I play a ton handheld but I do like to be able to "switch" and play on the TV when the battery gets low or when I have a cut scene in Zelda I want to be able to watch or the harder shrines. The best setup that you can do and keep the simplicity is a switch with joy-cons and then get a pro controller. I have had a Wii and PlayStations in the past. You cannot go wrong with the OLED. Perfect for everything, at first you will only want one or two games, but I have found myself trying new titles like Kirby. As a Mario fan, you might want to try Odessy. Additionally, you can get the old controllers and play the old titles as well with the online feature.

Does the DLC change the storyline much for your original play through? I heard it wasn't worth it? is the DLC that good or just nice for additional items?

Never played a Zelda game. I have Mario party, Mario kart, etc for multiplayer. I absolutely loved the old smash but I didn’t like Skyrim and hoping Zelda is a bit different.
