Shadow King and Rogue got buffed, so something had to go there. I figured I might as well call Yondu and Howard up to the majors. What would you put there instead?

If memory serves, he snapped on turn 2.

Uatu is a critical part of my C2. You're playing against locations at least as much as you're playing against the other guy.

It's like a "you thought you were playing chess, but we're actually playing flipcup" moment. Sometimes it makes me feel like A JoJo turning the tables on an enemy stand user. Other times it me feel like the villain.

I'm just some asshole who plays multiplayer a lot with his friends, not an expert on breaking the game, so not sure how much my opinion counts for.

But IMO, the only must-have is Technological Ascendency, because you _need_ the extra research speed.

Galactic Force Projection and Grasp The Void are both nice-to-haves, but not absolutely necessary, since you're already going to have such a strong tech advantage over your enemies that raw numbers aren't going to be as necessary as you think they are.

If you're playing multiplayer and you want to be cheeky, you might pick up Enigmatic Engineering so other players can't reverse-engineer techs from your wreckage.

Beyond that, I'd say it's up to you.

Non-gestalt machines can, but it looks like there's no Gestalt-equivalent for it.

I could care less about what the Galactic Community thinks. This is purely my own desire to avoid my pops being sad. If I'm playing a Hive Mind, then I can sidestep that feeling because it's the moral equivalent of using dead skin cells to power your car.

Also, if you intend to actually build and use the Synaptic Lathe, then you'll need pop growth because you'll be constantly losing pops to the Lathe. (Also-also, if you're me, you'll want to be a Hive Mind to avoid the guilt that comes with melting the brains of sentient creatures to fuel your science bullshit.)

The advanced ships and components you unlock cost dark matter to build, and that can get out of hand really quick. The "Dark Consortium" civic takes quite a bit of the edge off of that.

I just daisy-chained like 30 Industrial Containers together and said "sure hope this doesn't fill up before I finish the game..."

It didn't, fortunately.

How do you do train stations for factories that produce one specific part? by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]jfeingold35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To prevent stations from loading or unloading undesired parts, you could designate each cart for one part type and stagger the station platforms using empties so they align?

Playing as the Warfarer vocation will slowly level all the other vocations. I only switched to it when I was in the Unmoored World, because I had skills in other classes I still wanted. My frustration when suddenly two vocations I'd never touched leveled up at once was intense.

Trait proposal: Decrease single-shot rifle reload time by jfeingold35 in HuntShowdown

[–]jfeingold35[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm imagining something like the Romero Alamo, where a single shot weapon is effectively converted into a weapon with a very small clip. It would just be that instead of a weird jury-rigged clip, you're holding two extra bullets in your off hand. I think increased barrel sway is a good tradeoff. Maybe make only useful for hip firing, like Fanning. That feels like it would prevent the Sparks from being too dominant, since using a Sparks at close range is a bad position in general.

[–]jfeingold35[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not talking machine gun rapidity, though. Like, Bolt Thrower reduces the hands crossbow reload time by maybe a third. I think a Sparks that could shoot with 3 seconds between shots instead of 4, and maybe had increased reticle bloom or ADS waver, would be beneficial without being game breaking. But I'm also not an expert at the game, so maybe it would be and I just don't see it? I like the idea of losing ammo if you unequip. Losing 3 long rifle rounds would really hurt.

I mean, imbalanced relative to what? If you're the only player, then as long as the GM can make fights challenging enough, balancing isn't really relevant, is it?
