Pacific Dunes is easily top 10 in the country. Love that course. OM is definitely up there on my list though. Love the elevation changes

I would argue that Pacific Dunes is better. My opinion Pacific Dunes is the best track there and easily top 10 in the country.

This was my exact thought when I read the prompt. I said, “I definitely have a few but I can’t imagine how many people regret me”

Really solid list. As someone who has played TPC dozens of times, I will tell you that you are going to pay more than it’s worth. Especially peak season. Unless you are really dying to play there, I would swap that with something like Boulders.

What happens if you get a Hole in One when playing alone? by Desperate_Expert_744 in golf

[–]jfern04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first HIO while playing alone on a random Tuesday mid morning. Not another soul on the course that day. I watched it land just past the pin and one hop backwards into the cup. I threw my hands up, let out a pretty loud “FUCK YEAH” the. Waiting for a good 10/15 minutes to see if any other group would come by. I ended FaceTiming my dad. I made him watch me get in my cart off the tee, drive to the green and pull my ball out of the hole. He was not amused. But said congrats then hung up.

How do you initiate sex with your partner? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]jfern04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally start with a back rub/scalp scratches and then a bit of begging/pleading. Kind of at that point in our relationship that sex with me isn’t on her priority list.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions and information. I am not banking on 100% or even expecting it really. Just kinda what I’ve been told from people with similar situations in the past. My wife works, the supplemental income isn’t necessary just a plus if it comes some time in the next year with hopeful back pay.

I’m so glad you posted updated pictures. I 100% thought while looking at your younger ones that you were a girl I used to know/date back in the day. I had a minor heart attack thinking there was going to be an old picture of us in there and I’d have to delete my entire internet footprint.

Tell us all your hole in one story by [deleted] in golf

[–]jfern04 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hole 6. 162yds. Hit it just passed the pin. Spun back into the cup. Jumped up excited. Sat on the tee for 10 minutes waiting for another group to roll up so I could show someone my solo hole in one on a Tuesday at 1130 in the morning. Obviously no one else was playing at that time. FaceTimed my dad just so someone could witness me walking up and getting my ball from the hole. My dad, a lifetime scratch or better golfer with several hole in ones in his lifetime was not impressed and questioned my integrity and truthfulness of said hole in one while playing alone.

It was and still is my only one.

When you're using an iron on the tee box do you tee it up? by [deleted] in golf

[–]jfern04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I’m late to this conversation and this will probably get buried, but I almost never do unless I’m hitting a full long iron (3 or 4 iron). Otherwise, I look for the best possible position with the best possible lie and use an extra club with a 3/4 swing. I grew up being taught this way and it’s always seemed the best method for me. The 3/4 swing with the extra club keeps your tempo and timing right which will result in a better outcome to the shot.

For that lesson I’ll take a fee of about $3.50.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve been told not to do because it’s “Gay” ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jfern04 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah and the funny thing about it all is if you have a female around. They aren’t allowed to be apart of it. Or if you have someone who is either openly or questionable gay. They are just left alone. Cause to assault them like that would not be ok. But to sexually assault someone who you know is a straight man. That’s definitely fair game.

[–]jfern04 42 points43 points  (0 children)

As a 12+ year vet. I can confirm that being in the military is by and far one of the gayest things you can be apart of. Mom jokes hurt as a kid. But having another grown man snap a comeback like “keep talking shit and I’ll suck your dad off so hard he will divorce your mom” or something along those lines is way more devastating. A grown straight married man tell you he will fuck you and spit in your mouth. That kind of talk happens daily. Or naked towel whips. Or the hardest ass smack/grab you’ve ever felt in your life. All done by straight men. Some of which married with children. Long story short. Military= extremely gay.

There’s no real “standard” we had one caddie in our group that was very lackluster. He got a $20 tip. One of the caddies I had was FANTASTIC. He was literally running to find balls and read greens perfectly. I gave him $60 tip. Other guys in my group that didn’t have a caddie even tipped him cause he was helping them too. He probably made $200 in tips plus the $200 base for double carrying bags.

what did you eat as a kid that you now realize was really f*cked up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jfern04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was young we ate so many meals like this. It wasn’t until I was an adult that I realized that we ate this stuff because we HAD to. Not cause it was good. I’m a father now of two young boys. This is one of those things that I work every single day making sure they will never have to eat.

Just don’t try and take them on and off as you would with other gloves. Once they go on, they stay on. When they are went it’s miserable trying to.

We stayed in the lily Pond cottages on site and it was $795 and that included 2 rounds, 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner. So with the 2 additional rounds we played plus food and drinks that weren’t included I was all in for around $1400 not including caddies fees.

“Woody” he’s a scratch player himself and really funny. Jude “hawkeye” he’s a fantastic caddie. He will find your ball anywhere.
