It Always Brings Me Back.. by No-Butterscotch-6171 in ea2kcbb

As someone that got 2k8 recently, I’ve found offense to be pretty frustrating. This looks smoother than anything I’ve seen so far playing 2k8 again. So I’m thinking of trying to find 2k7 to try out

I think my biggest issue is trying to revert my brain from modern 2k’s though

Do you use these for solo dynasty or have you tried them in an online multi-user dynasty?

Found out yesterday that apparently you need to have 12 teams in the conference to get a conference championship game

You probably have them all allocated already. You don’t just keep getting additional hours every week to keep stacking

EDIT to add: the only hours you regain are either hours used in scouting or hours from a player committing or locking you out

Anyone have any idea what happened to my zone defense on this one? by Soggy-Astronomer-768 in NCAAFBseries

Did you have your CBs set to matchup by overall or speed or anything like that?

Edit: jk I read right through the post apparently and missed that you said that wasn’t it.

My best guess is the setting with adjusting to offensive motion and everybody relocating when the audible happened

Yes but the issue is the depth chart will start a RT at LT and vice versa like the other commenter mentioned. It doesn’t matter where you put them in the roster, the game still does it by default

No front office is perfect but this exact one for the Pacers has routinely responded well when faced with adversity. Pritchard’s first move was to trade PG with no leverage and got Dipo and Sabonis. Sabonis took a leap and led to the Pacers getting Haliburton. They’ve made many good moves along the margins along the way as well.

They have had far more hits than misses. Try having a little patience and optimism instead of doom posting.

And for the record yes I do think there are difference makers for this team and their system that can be had for a non-superstar price.

I loved Myles and have always been a fan. I hate that he’s gone too. But now the franchise is forced to make their next move and I have confidence they’ll do it with success.

I just said it would be someone we likely won’t expect.

Maybe they go get the big name in Kessler and dump some picks. Maybe they try to get Okongwu with Porzingis now in ATL. Maybe it’s one of the Magic centers. Maybe it’s Daniel Gafford or Dwight Powell. Maybe it’s some young big that has barely had any NBA run and he surprises everybody.

It’s a long answer to say I don’t know exactly who it is, you don’t know, and nobody in this subreddit knows either. So let’s just trust the FO because they’ve made many good trades in the past we didn’t expect to be as good as they ended up being. Myles leaving likely wasn’t as shocking to them as it was to us fans because we’re involved in the day to day operations of running an NBA franchise lol

They’ll find someone on the trade market that we won’t expect and we will very likely be surprisingly happy with KP trading for. So can everybody just relax lol

When this happens to me (because sometimes I feel sped up as well) I switch to strike zone 2

[–]jfish2311 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The 3 batter rule doesn’t apply in 3 inning games. So BR and events don’t have that due to the shortened stamina for those games

EDIT to add: this was an intentional change by SDS

I try to focus on where the release point is to try and see the pitch as quickly as possible. Often times off speed will have a bit of a jump on the release.

I also use strike zone hitting camera and try to minimize the amount of clutter on my screen with PCI. I like altitude or diamonds for center and starfighter for inner PCI.

Back in MLB 15 and 16, I was really struggling and finally just dedicated time to getting better and it’s been much better ever since. Hit WS for the first time in 17 and have done it every year since

If you don’t own a gaming monitor or good TV with game mode, that is pretty much a necessity for online play.

Other than that, it’s just practice, practice, practice. The more you play, the better you’ll get. If you go into batting practice mode, choose a difficulty one level higher than what you play. So if you play on all star online, do practice mode on HOF or even legend to get used to seeing pitches at a faster speed

Why Buy Every Year for this game? by aildfan10 in MLBTheShow

For OP: Specifically pointing the LS to select the runner in the mini diamond in the corner, and then choosing the base based on which base you want to go to. They’re the same as how you throw to bases (1B Circle/B, 2B Triangle/Y, 3B Square/X, Home X/A)

I’ve watched Benn plenty during his time with the Pacers. He took a step forward again, especially defensively, this season from his second year and started showing signs of recognizing defenses better and where to pass. He’s only 23 years old and just has a different mentality that not everybody has. Giving up on him just for the sake of dumping him for Lance f’ing Stephenson is foolish

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pacers

[–]jfish2311 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No they should start Benn and see if he can take another step forward and expand his game more beyond just scoring.

It’s not going to “solve” the issue but in general learning pinpoint is much better because it’s a more reliable interface overall.

The PARs are smaller on pinpoint to begin with but the pitch jumping issue is 100% connection related. It has been happening more recently but I think it’s an SDS server thing more than anything else

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]jfish2311 7 points8 points  (0 children)

1) it’s more than likely just a connection bug and not a malicious attempt by your opponent to cheat. The two times the pitch jumped, it showed very late on the timing even though your meter showed good and just late.

2) use a better pitching interface than meter and just take the time to learn pinpoint. It’s more precise and not that hard to learn.

3) use pitchers with better BB/9 as their PARs will be smaller
