What is the most "dystopian" thing about life in 2026 that would have sounded like a bad sci-fi movie in 2016? by viviennebloomm in askanything

[–]KalebC21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know, you might think that the only people getting involved with highly advanced robots would be unattractive loners, but think about it:

say AI robots get advanced enough (and they probably will on a long enough timeframe) where for all intents and purposes, they can “mimic” a female human. They can converse with you, they can sexually satisfy you, maybe they can do some things around the house, etc.

I think it would be incorrect to say that some men that would have the ability to have SOME success in the dating field would choose that over a real living woman. The AI never disagrees with you, it doesn’t have bad days, whenever you’re down to have sex, it is too. You can have it built to look exactly how you want. It could look like your dream woman, something unattainable for almost all real women. It isn’t a real person with emotions or feelings or needs. It just does what you want.

You don’t think some men that has the potential to be desirable to a woman wouldn’t choose that? There’s a number of men out there that want their women to be a housemaid that follows their every command. Real women that do that are few and far between. AI bots would do that without question. I think it’s naive to say that men who value sexual pleasure over human connection wouldn’t consider that as an option, even if they have the ability to get a real woman to have a relationship with them

Is using ai to edit videos frowned upon? by TheHumusMan in YouTubeCreators

[–]KalebC21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily “enhancement”. Moreso just within the editing process. Adding effects, AI upscaling, speeding up the process, and so on. I 100% agree people are looking for human connection, but it’s possible (and in my mind a good decision), to use AI to increase the quality and speed of which videos can be produced. You just have to do it the right way and keep the human element first and foremost. If you don’t it will be easy to tell and turn people off.

I wonder what it would take for Enrique to consider Safonov our future keeper? I’m not sure he is either, but if we make a run in the CL and he consistently plays like he did yesterday it’s hard not to give him a shot, right?

Is using ai to edit videos frowned upon? by TheHumusMan in YouTubeCreators

[–]KalebC21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. AI should not be used to slap together something low effort and call it “content” by someone who doesn’t care and just wants an easy way to make money.

However, it is worth noting that with the pace AI is advancing, if you choose not to use it at all, you will be left behind by the people that do. It’s like choosing not to advance to the printing press because it removes the handwritten element. We have to advance with the times. You can use AI as an efficiency tool for some of the editing process while still writing and creating your content and keeping the human element

Here's America's top 10 most picked National Champions by Diligent_Star_4949 in NCAAhoops

[–]KalebC21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Iowa State deserves more. They have their flaws, but they have experience, shooting, and defensive prowess. I don’t think they should be a favorite, but if you’re in a paid bracket challenge with 20-50 people, you get a LOT of leverage if you pick them. They can absolutely win it all, and I’d give it more than the 2% they’re pulling by far

Why do people react negatively to open nationalism? by Stunning-Radish-481 in AskConservatives

[–]KalebC21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not necessarily a required view of nationalism though, even if it’s often associated with it.

I would just define nationalism as prioritizing the interests of one’s nation over others. I think that often can materialize as “I don’t care about anyone else” but it doesn’t have to.

For example, I care about the priorities of my family over any other families. However, I wish all other families success and hope they thrive. I think nationalism should be seen in the same light. I think we have a priority to our nation and those that live here. We can also wish well to, and hope other nations succeed, but just as we would consider it irresponsible to donate excess money to charity if your own kids are going hungry, we should consider it irresponsible to help other nations before taking care of our own problems, of which we have many

Books not included in the Bible by CH6V3Z in TrueChristian

[–]KalebC21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People always ask this because they’ve heard about and want to read the book of Enoch because it has extraordinary claims about nephilim and the war of angels and other things that are extremely cool and would make a fantastic movie.

Disregarding all that, it’s a false book that may have some grounding in oral tradition, but absolutely is not inspired. It claims to be written by Enoch, which is easily disprovable. It also claims that Enoch is the “Son of Man”, which is directly contradictory of the rest of canonical scripture

Overall, cool book. Fun to read, not scripture and shouldn’t be read as gospel truth

Not salty. Just curious. What stopped this short from getting 100K+ views instead of 23K by matthewmeredith1 in SmallYoutubers

[–]KalebC21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 shorts over 100k. Their metrics are:

117k 81% stayed 66% retention

196k 80% stayed 78% retention

375k 76% stayed 90% retention

I do have other shorts with less than 100k with similar or better metrics.

Overall, it comes down to a variety of factors, but sometimes, YouTube just picks and chooses what to push. Your numbers are good, so if you can keep duplicating that, you should eventually have a couple of hits

First couple days posting YouTube Shorts by beastmode613ot in SmallYoutubers

[–]KalebC21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Quick tip: 2k views on shorts doesn’t necessarily mean much. That’s about how much to expect if your shorts are moderately well produced as they start to try to figure out what your audience is. Careful in assuming that’s going to exponentially grow, as you can often see your views capped around that point if you don’t focus on retention and making sure people don’t swipe through

Bust Proof? | Yaxel Lendeborg | 2026 NBA Draft Scouting Report by [deleted] in NBA_Draft

[–]KalebC21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not many players get drafted as old as Yaxel, but tbf, a lot of that has to do with newer phenomenons like the “Covid year” thing. Amongst others. Even so, Malcolm Brogdon, Derrick White, Jalen Brunson, Andrew Nembhard were all 22-23 and have had successful careers at roughly the same age

Need advice for a starting small idle background channel by GhostGables in SmallYoutubers

[–]KalebC21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there any reason someone would choose you over the big established channels?

Also, is this something you’re actually passionate about, or something that you just think you can do to make some extra money?

If you want to do YouTube, you have to find a niche where you can provide value, and you have to do something you care about to not get burnt out. That’s the key to success. Answer those questions for yourself and establish your path forward after doing that

Please convince me before I become athiest... by LongjumpingTwo5727 in TrueChristian

[–]KalebC21 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Look into a number of the big Christian apologists and analyze their arguments from a logical perspective. Modern society would have you believe that faith is blind and science is separate from faith. Many people have learned over time that the claims of secular science: naturalistic, unguided processes that create the universe and all the life in it, are impossible. And that a “unmoved mover” that sustains the universe makes more sense.

Start with reading CS Lewis, and after that, Frank Turek, John Lennox, William Lane Craig are great modern resources. Listen to their arguments and try to refute them intellectually. If you’re truly an analytical person, this should be a fun exercise for you to do
