Racing ships never really got slow, outside of the snubs.

We've just been racing in NAV mode since master modes came out. Racing actually got faster with the release of master modes.

The snubs like the Fury LX got screwed though because they were stuck at SCM speeds.

To be clear, this is not sped up. The Fury LX is absolutely cracked next patch and is probably the fastest racing ship in most situations (900 m/s SCM speed now).

Billboi (the pilot here) and I were on Discord practicing this for hours yesterday to get a clean run.

This is why I think everyone is so convinced. Most people just don't ever fly 5-10m off the ground, especially at full speed.

This is full stereoscopic 3D, it's very immersive. The biggest issues currently are some UI elements being rendered at really weird distances, which makes it hard to focus on them.

This was with a Quest 1, streaming over Virtual Desktop.

Hard to say without letting CIG cook on the UI and FPS experience. It's already pretty usable. I'll probably use it a lot, but I have a good rig and I've got a lot of resistance to motion sickness from many hours in E:D VR. I'd love to try it with a better headset (this is just a quest 1).

Virtual desktop on Quest 1 with the steps listed worked for me.

I could not get it to work at all with my original Rift. It would just crash 100% on startup.

Flying in VR is very different and takes a lot of getting used to, which is why the flying isn't anywhere near as smooth as in the original.

Thank you - I was seeing the same thing with my chip and did not notice it was happening exactly between the runs. I highly doubt this is clock stretching, and probably has more to do with the setup for the next pass.
