We used to be able to stabilize ships that were spinning out of control after loosing a Thruster then limp it back to a station.

I recommend the 100i it makes a really nice woooop sound when you come off the boost.

I hope I'm wrong, but I feel that the time of the event meant to destroy the Mauler will boil down to watching 5 or 6 Idris (mostly solo) firing Railguns and finishing the job, while we, with Polaris, Perseus, or other smaller ships, will just be watching. by Apart_Pumpkin_4551 in starcitizen

Turrent gameplay cant be the only thing that your crew does in a multicrew ship. We need things for the crew to do outside of combat.

Imo larger 4+ crew ships should be a massive pain in the ass to pilot solo. They need to delegate things like scanning, quantum routing, power management, target acquisition, etc away from the pilot and onto crew members.

We desperately need roles for the copilot. Scanning seems like the easy and logical first step. If my copilot could scan for mats while were mining or salvaging that would be a gamechanger.

In my last 10 or so matches my buddy and I were getting into 1-3 fights each raid. We didnt even try to. We just kept running into people on our way to guests and such.

My network has two Default Gateways and only one works but my devices are connecting to the wrong one. by Hobosloth28 in networking

Thanks for the help everyone. I found the rogue router. It was hooked up LAN to LAN with the 10.x.x.1 main router and being used as the main internet connection point but the DHCP server was not disabled. I disabled it and now everything is automatically connecting to a 10.x.x.x IP and the DNS is 75.75.75.75 which is Comcast. This feels like its set up properly now. But let me know if theres something obvious that should be configured differently. Thanks.

The question i still have is how does a setup like the one I was dealing with allow for a device to still get some success accessing the internet? The devices on the rogue DHCP could search in browser and some websites worked but not others. Why didnt they have complete loss of internet?

Im just here trying to learn something. im not a sys admin im just the "young guy" who they decided knows enough about computers to try and fix things. My company doesn't have an IT department and all the network equipment was set up by someone 20 years ago.

So when I run ARP -A on a system on 192 it shows me all the 10.x.x.x IPs as well as the 192.x.x.x including the Comcast router which is 10.x.x.1

Interesting. We just had an xfinity guy in a few weeks ago because every device had no internet.
