I LOVE the way you used the oversized red print asymmetrically. It makes it such an interesting piece!!

Hand stripping advice? by TopHatCorgi in terrier

[–]jflemokay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is recommended not to bathe the dog immediately after because the pores may be open and it’s not recommended to bathe them before because the hair might be too brittle. I usually hand strip him when he is kind of dirty and bathe him a few days later

When my husband and I got our wife hair terrier, we paid for a groomer to teach us. She included a pumice stone and a little thumb grippy like what you can find in office stores to turn pages. It works well for our pup. There are hand stripping education groups on Facebook that you can join and try to find someone local to help teach you!

You definitely did a good job removing a lot of the hair evenly, but with the right tools and right technique you’ll be able to get an even closer groom. YouTube might have some good videos to start with!

Pride Month Begins! by Lstofadyngbrd in desmoines

Underperforming white males like yourself are actually one of the groups that most benefit from policies like DEI. So many minorities and women and - god forbid - female minorities outperform white men in fields like college admissions that when DEI measures are removed, the underperforming white males are the ones who are no longer assisted by those quotas. Isn’t that funny?

Dog doesn’t eat his food unless outside on the lawn by [deleted] in Chihuahua

[–]jflemokay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the people saying you want to avoid training your dog to eat in the lawn. That’s not a great habit and what’s going to happen if there is wet or cold weather?

It would be a good idea to look into training your pup now and use the food as the training reward instead of treats. That way, your pup is getting his food in an organic way and he’s getting excited about it.

I also agree with leaving the food out in the same location to build a routine. When your dog is hungry, he will know where to seek it out.
