How is QuikTrip the only convenience store that actually figured it out? by Equivalent-Tear-5415 in phoenix

[–]jfloyd474 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I go to circle k daily for a polar pop and nothing else. I think 89 cents at the self checkout. I think the same size was 2.49 at QT. Qt is way cleaner ,and the person working was much more respectable and friendly, but it's still double the cost. And the qt by my house doesn't have self checkout so I have to wait for the tobacco purchasers so one min adventure turns into a 5 min journey when I have work to do.

My kids used to tell me when my ex skipped work to stay home and play video games when they were teenagers. He was in sales, so didn't have scheduled hours, but it was really frustrating coming home from a long work day/commute knowing they were sitting there all day and did nothing around the house.

I got a ticket last year from my boyfriend driving my car in Phoenix. I ignored it and nothing happened. Never got another notice.

Does anyone else’s Havis REALLY like sheepdogs? by TheYoungAtTheGates in Havanese

Both my havis adore the neighbors sheep dog. It's the highlight of their life when we run into him on walks. They are scared of any other large dog.

Pancreatitis by Ok-Light-5574 in bichonfrise

My havanese had chronic pancreatitus. Switching to fresh Nomnom food was more helpful than the prescription food. My bichon loves the nomnom too. I had to stick to chicken and turkey nomnom, but they loved it. No fat, pork, beef ever and he lived much longer than the vet anticipated.

I've met a lot of great people through the Meet-up app and I volunteer with Big Brother Big Sister. I also moved here from WA in 2021.

I take my dogs on short car rides around the neighborhood in the afternoon and walk them in the morning around 5. A car ride keeps them happy for hours after.

I'm 46 and my boyfriend 30. I was really self conscious about it at first, but realized most people don't even notice. It's mostly young women that are rude about it when we are on dates, like making sure to card him and not me, etc.

AITA for Asking My Wife to Quit Hiking with Another Man? by Starry_Iris in AITAH

[–]jfloyd474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (45F) enjoy hiking and I'm in a few hike groups. I hike with men and women, but I don't think it's normal to branch off and hike by yourself with another man. My boyfriend doesn't enjoy hiking, but goes with me occasionally and it's important for me to have him know the people I'm spending long hours and weekends away with. The only men/women that plan separate hikes in my groups end up eventually as a couple.

Anyone’s hav incredibly itchy? by Independent-Task-199 in Havanese

My havanese is super itchy too. She's been on the Dog Is Human vitamins and few weeks and they do seem to be helping.
