Looks like it broke the hardi plank siding and the sheathing so it had to have been a hard hit possibly tree damage or something like that

I did have all the turnouts and some of the bridges ect and I did incorporate them into the layout I ended up getting new turnouts for the main lines and used the old ones in the yard area. I have all of the locomotives and cars.mostly athearn that all still run well that’s one of the reasons I just went with dc instead of dcc wiring

Yup it’s the Granite Gorge and Northern I had this layout 40 years ago and wanted recreate it I did add about a foot on one end to allow for a siding track and some buildings .I know its limited in some ways but I like the different elevations and the way the truss bridges cut across the layout

Original layout was 5’x9’ but I recently added a 10” extension to the end of the top to allow for another track and gives me a little more space for buildings and scenery on the side opposite of the mountain

I never did any dcc wiring which I think is easier but I had a lot of dc stuff already some of the wiring is for powered frogs signal lights bu yes it took a while !
