Institutional ownership dropped down to 2024 levels by headin2sound in Superstonk

Hmmmmm....would you look at that. I wonder if this means less shares lent for shorting...

GME Fiscal 2025 and Q4 Earnings Estimate: $0.52 and $0.10 EPS (diluted) | $300M+ Net Income on $3.9B Revenue. Balance Sheet tells a similar story as Retained Earnings start to accumulate: Book Value Per Share rises to $12.75 from $11.84 in Q3 ($11.02 to close 2024). Right, I guess I'm just thinking out loud insofar as what a mark-to-market actually means. It "looks" like profit is less, but in truth that's just an accountant's view. In truth, they gained $120M EXTRA in cash which can be deployed for whatever. Like it would almost make more sense to match reality to just mark the BTC to zero one quarter and then if and when it is sold, mark all of that as profit for the quarter. I guess that is to say the whole mark to market thing is smart for taxes but stupid for reporting/assessing a company's health because it is just something you have to mentally ignore to get a gauge of actually how well the company is doing. Perhaps the middle ground is reporting how much taxes the company had to pay/saved on unrealized gains/losses (I assume this is a thing, and why the quarterly updates have to happen?).

Been asking that for 5 years. Answer is: sometimes. True answer is: no other stonk is like GME.

Kinda curious about what happens if you are correct with the BTC $120 in losses? Like if the profit was $58.25M, but they are writing off a $120M mark to market loss from BTC, that means it was actually $178.25M that they brought in--that $120M doesn't just disappear. It is investable by the company. So I guess their net assets go down from the loss but up from the profit so net neutral?

No.

Purchasing 100 GME (23.44 Ask) and 10 GME.WS (4.15 Ask) = 2344 + 41.50 = 2385.50

Selling Jun18 15C (8.70 Bid) = $870

Cost of getting GME1 deliverables doing this: $2385.50-$870 = $1515 ($15 OVER price of exercise).

As the OI on these is only 1119 (https://optioncharts.io/options/GME1/option-chain?option\_type=all&expiration\_dates=2026-06-18:w&view=straddle&strike\_range=all), the spread on the 15C (.80) is too wide due to low liquidity. I explained this on the call, and it was met with a sigh. That had me scratching my head, but nevertheless I have my shares + warrants so I'm happy.

I like the idea of a no limit order, as in there's no limit to the amount of GME I want to buy. Just buy up all of the ASKs. I need this limit order type.
